I'm American, but somehow learned and got used to spelling it "grey" instead of "gray". I have no clue how that happened.

True. It does match the profile, but I am usually not in the habit of profile diving unless I smell a troll.
Seems to me this person might be German (considering the username as well) and used the German word by accident.
Mistakes are OK! (I added the word "intentional" as an afterthought to cover this contingency as the statement still remains true.)

I didnt even notice it. But yes i am german and dislexic
