Your workplace has 2 weeks to find someone to cover that shift. Tell them to look into a contracting agency and grab a person for a day. What's your cashapp?
Two weeks isn't enough time to train someone to handle over 1200 people and our menu. I do not work a conventional kitchen, as I already said.
Stop acting like it's a simple solution just because you think you can throw money at me. You're just compounding how shitty I already feel about being in a situation I cannot control.
Back off. I make it to meetings and protests when I can and have stated multiple times I can't this time, and you are being completely obstuse about it.
I'm not American and don't really understand your system. What I would like to say is, being in a situation where you can't get a day off or be sick (because thats the same problem) is not healthy. I hope you find a job where you can actually take a personal day once in a while.
I wasn't even the person you where arguing with and I was actually trying be nice, but you chose to be an asshole...
Have fun in your third world country, I hope you don't have kids, because not being able to take a day off when your kid is sick sounds really fucking terrible
Moving the goalposts makes it seem like you never wanted to go in the first place. Or maybe you've been beaten down by the system so much that you think this one day at your job is more important than the government being dismantled?
That one person screwing over their coworkers by attending this one protest isn't going to be the tipping point that saves America. Gain some perspective and have some empathy.
Stopping production for a day won't have an impact on the bottom line
Tell that to the capitalist overlords that won't let Americans take a fuckin day off to speak their voice.
I know it's not fuckin easy to stand up to the man, especially when the people around you won't stand with you. But lord, arguing against standing up isn't fucking helping anyone
