Steam Deck sales drop hard following the Nintendo Switch 2 announcement (updated: Valve fixed it)
Valve's Steam Deck with SteamOS has been consistently in the top sales charts on Steam since release, but recently it dropped down rather hard following the Nintendo Switch 2 announcement.

Yeah, I don't see a Nintendo device dethroning Deck anytime soon, especially when they serve the same purpose.
14 0 ReplyNormally I would be excited for a new Nintendo console, but my only thought was. “Do I really want 2 handheld consoles?”
I’m not excited for it at all and just want to use my steamdeck.
This will be the first time I don’t get a Nintendo console right away. I may even skip it all together as Nintendo has been assholes lately.
They will need a really killer set of games for me to change my mind about it.
9 0 ReplyWell really, the question is "What does this handheld console actually play?"
Deck: anything you want within hardware reason Switch: Nintendo roms (they apparently don't even ship hardware carts now I guess?)
6 0 ReplyHuh? Go to any Walmart and you'll see loads of physical copies. Switch 2 is even confirmed to use them.
4 0 ReplyI guess I would consider a switch 2 after they have a few great first party games.
- Mario Kart
- 3d Mario
- 2d Mario
- big Zelda game
- Pokémon game that isn’t terrible and overly easy.
- 3d Metroid
- 2d Metroid
I would need a decent number of these items to be on the system before I considered it.
