Good luck... reddit admins/mods don't like lemmy references. Only attempt if you don't mind losing your account or permabans from whatever sub you post to.
I have mentioned Lemmy several times on /r/RedditAlternatives without any issue

That's good to hear; so it's likely certain mods/subs rather than a site-admin restriction then (at least until perhaps lemmy becomes too much competition...)
Just depends how big it is imo, I left in the Reddit api exodus because I saw some posts talking about Lemmy, I'm already aligned to FOSS support so it was an obvious choice.
Helped too that sync was made for Lemmy so quickly after :P
I mentioned Lemmy on r/onguardforthee and surprisingly my comment stayed up and garnered 15 upvotes.

From reading the public mod log it looks like the reason was that this user can't seem to make a post without insulting someone, their modlog history is a litany of removed (often misogynist/homophobic) insults and bans for DM abuse.

Called @db0@lemmy.dbzer0.com a bastard on a power trip, constant behavior of insults and hostility.
The specific insult at db0 was made today, a few hours before I saw it and acted upon it, then looked at the post history and removed further trolling.
Not all comments are ban-worthy when looked at individually but there is clearly a wider agenda at play. Just look at his bio: "Fediverse is worse than Reddit. Mod abuse, admin abuse, disinformation, and people simping for literal terrorists." A person with the openly stated dogma that "Fediverse is worse than Reddit" is not active on the Fediverse to have actually meaningful discussions, he's here to be hostile. He's constantly flamebaiting, only to then play the victim card.
As for the specific comment linked in that quote: I've DMed to one of the mods there. I said that I accepted that my comment was wrong, said sorry, I should have just ignored it, and that it won't happen again. I've since personally blocked him as well. I'm not getting lured by him any longer.

That's bullshit and you know it. @Blaze@feddit.org suggested me posting it on his community, called YePowerTrippinBastards, to which I responded that he is one of them. I find your interpretation incredibly rich after

So your removal & ban is quite literally just proving my point and further reinforcing my opinion. You're just as fragile as the mods & admins on Reddit who constantly ban you for complete bullshit or made up reasons while they let actual extremists & trolls unpunished. You're using your mod position to pile on me, just like db0 after I called him out.

I DM'd another mod there for clarification. None of the three comments were trolling or insults but simply facts, and kinda ironic after they insulted me.
