So far I've seen only pretty believable answers here so I'll add my own: I've never been drunk enough to pass out, vomit, forget things or fall.

I've never been drunk at all. Never really had more than one or two drinks in one day.
Same. I get a little warm and I don't like it, so I stop. Why in the world would I have MORE?
Don't you want to be able to see the 50 or 60Hz flicker of the lights?
Is that a thing that happens? Sounds unpleasant.

Same here! I do get drunk on occasion but never out of control
