Shitty Ask Lemmy
- Is the increasing wealth gap in India, that's worse than during British rule a sign of a second colonisation attempt by Gujarati billionaires?

- Do solar eclipse glasses work at night?
I'm shopping for glasses for my family to safely view the 2024 eclipse, but none of the product reviews talk about whether the glasses work at night. What are the people in Australia buying to see the eclipse safely?

- Why is the Lemmy logo from Art Spiegelman’s Maus?
Is it because the Lemmy devs are driven by forced labor?
- How often do you get weirdass dm's on telegram?
I get these more often then I should, so I was just wondering. They can't find me through my phone as I have turned that off. I have a killer username, but it ain't short, i.e., no one would purposefully search for it. So, the fact that someone's texting me is weird.
Day before yesterday some woman messaged me to talk about stock options, few months ago another woman texted me to talk about crypto.
And the dp seemed legit, mainly because the woman was not pretty and it didn't look like a photo a scammer would put on. I sometimes feel weird to have to block these people, they talk nice. The guy in the screenshot "needs a friend", I don't :) Should I change my username to something cryptic, something no one would think of typing? something like

. Also, I am an Indian, does my location have to do anything with this? We don't have any common communities too. - How do people in Germany or any other 24 hour format country tell the time?
I mean, do they say "I sleep at 9pm" or more like "I sleep at 2100 hrs" even while they are talking informally? 2100 hrs sounds very formal to me, but yeah, I was just wondering if they used 24 hour format for only official and government proceedings and used 12 hour format for casual stuff.

- Seeking Thoughts on Adults Owning Plushies 🧸
Greetings, fellow Lemmurs! 🌟 I'm a young adult and, I wanted to share something that brings me a sense of coziness and tranquility – plushies! 😊
These adorable companions have unexpectedly become a source of comfort, especially when it's time to unwind and sleep. 🌙
As a grown-up, I've discovered that having plushies is not just nostalgia; it's about finding comfort and relaxation in the simplest of things. When it's time to hit the hay, you bet I've got my trusty plushies lined up like an elite sleep squad. 😴 They're like little dream guardians, bringing a sense of warmth and familiarity that helps me unwind after a long day.
When I wind down for the night, my plushies join me like small, fluffy companions ready to embark on dreamland adventures. They might seem like a childhood keepsake, but honestly, having them around as an adult has been surprisingly delightful.
Some folks might raise an eyebrow at the idea of a grown-up snuggling with plushies, but I'm here to challenge the stereotype. We all have different ways of finding peace and tranquility, and if these adorable creatures make bedtime cozier, why not? 🤷♂️
Despite some societal norms, I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the matter. I'm curious to know if any of you fellow adults out there also share this bedtime plushie ritual. 🌝 Or if you've got thoughts on the whole concept, I'm all ears! Let's chat, share stories, and maybe even swap plushie recommendations! 🗣️💬

- anyone else getting weird login messages?
After I log in, I'm often getting the "log in first" message when I try to visit any communities. Half the time I have to just click on my login name and it says I'm already logged in, and then I can continue. The other half I find I'm logged out and have to log back in.
Not a huge deal, but a bit tedious. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
