- I found these bugs in the saucer below my rosemary plant. What are they?
3% hydrogen peroxide isn't killing all of them either!
- Help with Dragon Blood Tree [Dracaena cinnabari]
geteilt von: https://lemmy.world/post/8824195
> Hello, I planted a dragon blood tree because I read that it can also be kept as a houseplant. > > The seed has started to grow roots but so far nothing is visible on the surface. This has been going on for about two months now, so am I doing something wrong?
- Is this a pest on my Fiddle Leaf Fig / Ficus Lyrata?
Update: I figured it out! This is Fiddle Leaf Fig Edema since I did not see any spider mites up close. https://www.mrhouseplant.com/blog/fiddle-leaf-fig-edema/
- Jalapeno plant.
About 1 year old. I've left it in pot and just watched it. The rest of the seeds were grown last year and didn't survive the winter. I did overwinter and put frost cloth over them but clearly it didn't work.
Maybe too big a pot. I water every so often and just have it fertilizer.
- am I overwatering or under watering
This is a baby crape myrtle. It is currently under grow lights until the sun comes to the patio then it is outside in the sun. One day I noticed the leaves are drooping a little bit and the sides are rolling inword down. I can't figure out if I'm overwatering or under watering. Somebody please help me understand what I'm doing wrong and why it looks this way.
- Taken after misting my Alocasia Frydek. Is this "web" a cause of concern?
I mist my Alocasia Frydek every morning and it has been doing fine. It even opened a new leaf. This is the soil that it came with about 2 weeks ago. I did notice one droopy leaf but it's on the opposite side of my grow light so I think it's just going to die off (should I snip?)
Mainly, I'm wondering whether this web-looking thing is a cause for concern such as some kind of pest? It has been there all week.
Update: I filmed a video of a worm-like thing eating something with its "head" at the bottom of this screenshot. I don't know how to upload the whole video to Lemmy.
- I repotted this cast iron plant and the leaves are turning yellow
I have had this cast iron plant for many many years in the exact same spot, no fertilizer, and it has done ok but not a lot of growth. I decided to take it out, change some of the soil, and trim the roots a little. I returned it to the same spot. But now, the leaves are turning yellow and it has some brown tips. The pot doesn't have drainage and my housemate watered it again when it probably didn't need it. Are these all symptoms of overwatering or could it be transplant shock?
- Yellowing spots on nasturtium
There are some yellowing spots on my nasturtium leaves, and I havenโt been able to figure out what they need yet! Any idea what they need? image here
Theyโre in full sun for half the day and indirect sun the remainder of the day.
- is there any saving this Norfolk Pine?
Basically the short story is my plant was stolen in March. Today I found my plant in front of the dumpster. Of course my thieving neighbors are too lazy to throw away items the correct way.
Anyway, the flowerpot it came with was no where to be found, the plant was on its side in a pile of garbage. The plant is way dried out, it was green when I had it and now itโs a steady light brown color.
I bought a new flowerpot today and got some miracle grow and watered it. Is it a lost cause? I am not a plant expert, Iโm new to plants and in fact this is the first plant Iโve ever bought. I was wanting it to grow big like a Christmas tree.
- Fungus growing in the soil
I have some plants growing outside and when I was planting a new one, I noticed the soil had a fair amount of white puffy fungus growing beneath the top soil. Do you all have any recommendations for fungicides that are safe for nasturtium and pothos plants?
- Fiddle Leaf Fig Red Spots
My fiddle leaf grows quickly. There are often new leaves and it has more than doubled in size so I'm definitely not killing it. But I've had this issue since I got the plant.
About 2/3 of new leaves are red and spotty. They continue growing and the spots eventually fade. Too much water? Not enough? Time to repot?
- Hibiscus leaves yellowing and falling
I have had this plant for several years. Within the past couple months I noticed a few leaves yellowing, but lately it has accelerated greatly to where about half have fallen. I water regularly and keep the soil moist. The pot is large and does have drainage holes. I stopped watering about 2 weeks ago to let the soil dry out but that hasnt seemed to help. This year I have noticed earthworms and centipedes in the soil if I dig around.
