  • I cannot fathom living a three hour walk from a grocery store.

I live in a suburb myself, but I'm still <30 minutes walking distance to a grocery store. Only 10 minutes by bike.

If you live that far out, that's both a failure of city design as well as personal choice.

  • Transport related emissions for food are so small they aren't worth discussing. I bet this applies to most items outside of food as well.

Personal transportation emissions are of course worth reducing but this seems like a dumb way to do it.

  • No but they're closely related and often the same thing.

The whole concept of "economically productive downtowns subsidize white flight suburbs ability to exist" is because of infrastructure, but it's basically a subsidy.

  • I had the Z Fold 3 and now the 5. It's great. I'd happily move to another company's if they were just as good or better, but also cheaper. The price tag is the only issue and I managed to avoid the full price twice. First by buying a used one at half price, then trading it back to Samsung for any $800 off the 5, which was a great deal.

  • I've actually enjoyed my time in SC far more than E:D. One is a buggy mess that is occasionally fun, and the other is a space sim with no gameplay at all and just wants a boring soulless grind.

Not defending SC's development practices, just shitting on E:D which I put 80 hours into.
