Mostly spend time with family and friends. Usually there are big gatherings in most cities or towns and fireworks. Do you have anything similar (big national holiday)?
Yeah active is pretty bad unless you just want to see the active posts from the last few days. Hot is pretty good primarily because of the explosion in users over the last little while.
Wasn't the person who made the trailer city someone who is very active in the YouTube scene? I'd imagine they designed the city to minimize traffic. Also, like you said, it's in a beta state so there may just be fewer cims. I have a hard time imagining that they release a cities skylines game and not have extensive traffic simulation.
I recently watched a French movie called La Haine which is basically about the same thing this movie was released nearly 30 years ago so things have not changed much it seems.
When my kids were about that age we would play piggy back brigade. Fun little racing game with cute pigs. Easy enough for kids to pick up and fun for adults too.
I feel like fluxx has a bit too much mental load for a 5 yo with how many rules can be in play at any given point. Sushi Go can definitely be a good choice though.
I honestly didn't event know this was a genre (aside maybe from football manager) until a few days ago. Getting super overwhelmed by the depth of these games, but watching through tutorials to try to get a handle on it.
