Assuming there is space for the new guts inside. If I buy something similar,
But it won’t fit, I’m wasting time and money. I was asking if I could get the same thing - it saves time and money not trying to figure stuff out again. Otherwise I can just use a different model to print.
Updating is not as much PITA as you think they are, and it’s worth doing it. Obviously nothing will protect you fully, but the more frequently you update l, the safer you are.
Instead of adapting (I have NO 3d modeling skills), I can just use another project where relevant parts are available. This one looked pretty straightforward (as in: not much assembly required compared to other projects), which is why I’ve asked about getting the right part.
I wonder where I could buy these lights outside US. I’ve seen them mentioned in some meshtastic builds, but I guess it’s a brand only available in the states.
It doesn’t require „newest technology” (or Intune;)), you could send sensible notifications with SCCM 2007. Not that people would read or act upon them. Some of them would obviously complain there were no notifications (because they simply ignored them and forgot about it) :D
You can postpone them but it’s a risk. Companies try to mitigate risks, because they don’t want to get hacked or fined because they don’t follow regulation. And to be honest it’s in your best interest to be up to date too. It’s not such a pain in the ass to reboot your computer every once in a while :)
Xbox is pushing the same thing with gamepass, Nintendo lowered their digital games pricing to match/go lower than physical media. Everything is going that way.
I hope Belgium teaches US a lesson ;)
