There needs to be a step by step migration guide

  • Where can you turn off user avatars? I thought I had seen it before but I can't find it now in settings. I'm not sure if it's because I'm currently on mobile or I'm just remembering seeing it in Lemmy.

    Edit: Found that option in the theme settings section which are just further down the page and not in the settings under username.
    But I have avatars off and even without any style sheet modifications I'm seeing them.

  • The one suggestion I've seen as another workaround is to use 'boost' since there's a spot in your profile that lists everything you've boosted. Of course that's not actually the intended purpose. I think boost is supposed to be like a retweet but kbin doesn't (currently?) really use it in any way. Although Mastodon or others might if you have followers from those platforms, not really sure.

  • @sgtlsgtlighttree (not sure if that works) appears to be using kbin which I don't think has that star icon and also no way to save the post.

    • YSK - X percent of Y is equal to Y percent of X. So, if you want to find out what 7% of 50 is, you could instead find out what 50% of 7 is, which is 3.5. This means that 7% of 50 is also equal to 3.5.

  • I don't see how that explanation makes sense. It's not showing the same thing.

    The example in the title is saying .50 times 7 is equal to .07 times 50 which is not just changing the order like in your explanation.
