Are you using Cloudflare as DNS, proxy, or via their argo tunnels? (I know you said tunnel, but then mention accessing via IP address, so I'm not entirely sure what you've done.)
The problem was it was too quick: if you died of COVID, you were dead. You could be memory-holed and everyone would simply forget you and move on.
If you had Polio, though, you were paralyzed and stuck in a metal tube and kept alive.
Can't forget your not-dead kid who lives in a tube, and thus it was treated as more of a thing that should be fought because there was a clear and visible reminder of what this disease was doing to everyone's kids.
If COVID left a couple million people living in tubes, then we absolutely would have treated it differently, but it didn't.
(Alternately, if COVID had killed 10 or 20 million people, we would have also treated it seriously: it just wasn't sufficiently deadly OR left a wake of broken, but living, people.)
Because guessing what the hell your thing looks like and behaves like is going to get me to bounce pretty much immediately because you've now made it where I have to figure out how to deploy your shit if I want to know. And, uh, generally, if you have no screenshots, you have no good documentation and thus it's going to suuuuck.
Or if you prefer to be a lot more cynical, he Old Yeller'd it, but he burned it's equity to get himself elected Co-President, and is worth like a hundred billion dollars more than he was before he did that.
So really, it was a Very Wise and bigly Smart business move.
How would the Democrats fix this, if they have full control of the government? Will they give Americans free health care, or stop financing genocides? Have Obama brought the change he was supposed to? Guantanamo was closed? Was it because he/the democrats did not control enough of the government? Maybe if people vote more next time the Democrats will tackle social issues.
I'm with you on the old and jaded bit, but that right there: they won't do ANY of those things, they haven't done any of those things when they 100% could have and voting for Democrats again, but with feeling! won't get you any of them.
The only difference between the Democractic party and the GOP is that it appears the GOP would prefer to sleep with 16 year olds.
I haven't shifted right the older I've gotten, I've shifted into accelerationist and must admit very limited give-a-shit about actions like what Luigi did and feel that maybe a few more might be more useful than another decade of me voting.
Those both have a Ring 0 component, which is essentially presented as required for the crap to even work.
The argument being that you have to have that level of access for the anti-cheat software to be able to actually be able to do it's thing, since if you just ran it with a normal user's permission, it'd be subject to numerous ways you could have a cheat tool simply bypass it.
They're probably not wrong about that, but doesn't mean that we should have to essentially install a rootkit on our hardware to play online games.
Best as I can figure what got me was some delivery food, lol. The virus that damn near killed me is not especially common, and the usual means of transmission is fecal-oral.
So, some horribly gross restaurant employee was probably sick, went to take a shit, and didn't wash their hands, though not like that can be proven.
I'm certainly not an economist, a politician, or in healthcare but I'd be surprised if you could actually build a working healthcare system for less than we spend now even if you took out the profit motive.
You need to rebuild rural hospitals, hire more doctors and nurses, build clinics and staff them in underserved (read: poor) areas, and basically spend an awful lot of time and money to fix the broken mess that the insurance companies have caused.
I mean you COULD just change who pays the people and places that exist now, but that's not really.... fixing anything.
Perhaps it's me, but I'd be fine paying what I'm paying similar amounts for an actually funded and working healthcare system, if it covers everyone. Just need to tap into the AMERICA #1 bullshit somehow, and get the uh, poorly informed, on board and do it. Again not a politician or political strategist so that's someone else's problem, but I won't complain about paying for it.
While I agree, I wouldn't expect my salary to grow to include the health insurance costs; that'd totally end up just being rolled into taxes to pay for the/a universal option and not be money I suddenly got paid.
But yes, it's $3000 after the ~$6000 for the insurance, so let's say the cost of being insured with insurance that covers anything at all in the US is, basically, $10,000 a year.
The best way I've heard that described is that for the Bambu stuff, you spend your time fiddling with the thing you want to print, not your printer.
I love my p1p (and it's several thousand hours and 100kg of filament into ownership and all I've had to do is clean the bedplate and replace a nozzle), and really wish there was anyone who was making an open-source printer that's as reliable and fiddle-free as this thing has been.
Am I missing something, or is this just the argo tunnel thing Cloudflare has offered for quite a while?
