Sudo is installed on Debian by default, but the default user is not in the sudo group by default. This is intended behavior and is different than Ubuntu or Mint, where the default user created during install is automatically part of the sudo group.
My dude you are not wrong - but how do you talk to these people about policy nuances and compromise to get things done if THEY'RE the ones being dismissive about things and rejecting objective reality? I get that they're not doing well. That doesn't mean that anyone (including Trump) can wave a magic wand and make things better. It seems to me the only way to win these voters over is to play the Republican game - get your own propaganda arm for your political party and yell and lie louder than the Republicans.
My dude thanks for the message of positivity. Personally I think we’re fucked regardless but I do appreciate the thread of hope. I try to do what I’m can individually as well and sometimes it feels futile but it’s good to know that there are some of us (dozens even!) still trying to do the right thing.

I see what you’re saying but it’s also kind of an excuse. It’s not that hard to find out, for instance in this case, where candidates stand on LGBTQ issues or on education.
It’s great. Had a 240v 50 amp circuit and a NEMA 14-50 plug installed by an electrician (you could probably do it yourself if you are handy but it’s a potential fire hazard so I wanted a professional to do it). Bought an EVSE, plugged in, and never looked back. I am never buying an ICE car again. There are federal and local tax rebates to install an EVSE in your home.
