  • I get what you're saying. He was a kid and probably had a fucked up childhood that led to everything. It's rare that people like that develop in a vacuum. But that's an explanation of how he got here, not an excuse.

Now he's an adult. There are definitely people on the right using him, but he made the decision to let them. He could have easily slunk into the shadows and gone on with his life. Instead, he felt the court acquittal wasn't enough and had to continue to prove he was right for his actions on the public stage. That's his choice and his alone.

    He deserves the ridicule.

  • If Constellation on Apple TV is right, then it's an indication that the person has become quantum entangled with their alternative self in another universe.

Good show btw if you are looking for something more psychological with a sci-fi background.

  • One thing to remember is the supreme Court blocked him from cancelling all student debt.

    https://www.cnn.com/2023/06/30/politics/supreme-court-student-loan-forgiveness-biden/index.html

So the timeline (from my memory as I recall it):

    • forgiveness program introduced several administrations ago for public service workers
    • Trump administration found to essentially not forgiving any loans over technicalities
    • Biden comes into office with promise to correct
    • Biden tries to correct in 2022
    • GOP sues
    • Supreme court blocks Biden's efforts in 2023, stating their method was overstepping their powers
    • Biden administration uses existing executive powers to move forward with efforts
  • From personal experience, refunds aren't off the table. My wife has been a nurse for over 10 years. She just got a refund check from the Treasury stating that she over paid on her student loans. It wasn't an insignificant amount.

  • Lie is a tough word to use in law and journalism. To accuse someone of lying you have to prove intent to tell the lie vs being truly mistaken.

For example, if I say the Earth is flat am I lying or mistaken? If I truly believe that, then it's not a lie, even though facts clearly say otherwise. I'm just not aware or choose to disagree with those facts.

It's maddening. I'm with you and wish journalists would use harsher language in obvious cases, but I understand why they tend not to as a standard to ensure they're not opening themselves up to claims of liable and defamation.

  • The problem I see that doesn't get mentioned enough is he has literally built a cult around himself. This makes it extra difficult to make him face consequences because he can easily turn himself into a martyr in his cult's eyes, which exacerbates the problem even more.

I think the cases brought against him already took so long because they knew they had to be air tight. Any legal wiggle room gives him more ammo to say "See, witch-hunt!"

IMO, the best thing that could happen for America is for him to die of natural consequences. It would deflate his cult as they tried to reconcile him being the god-delivered savior of the US and him just dying suddenly of natural causes. There would likely be conspiracies, as there always are, but it may be enough to snap some of the less radicalized out of this fucking trance he has them in.

We've also seen that his lackeys cannot play his game as well as he can. The hammer would fall easily on those left in his wake.

  • This is not true for everyone. We all have different reasons for similar feelings like this. I sleep great but still feel like this. Oversleeping is also a sign of depression.

For me, getting my diet under control and truly understanding what my body needs has helped tremendously (more fiber/protein, less carbs/sugars). Introducing daily probiotics has helped too. It really is amazing how our diets affect our moods.

For some, regular exercise may help. For others, sun lamps help with seasonal depression. Sometimes you need medication. Sometimes weed helps.

Always talk to a professional. Try different things until you figure out what works and what doesn't.

  • I feel like Twitter (I will always deadname it) was the beginning of the end for him. Unfortunately, things like this can take years or decades to resolve, but whereas 5 years ago he had the midas touch and could do no wrong now there seems to be nothing but a stream of negative news about him.

    Time will tell
