  • I don't think you would find a single cyclist against the idea of taxing bicycles as long as it is a vehicle tax indexed to the weight of said vehicle (i.e., damage to the road). "Here's a $20, that should cover my bicycles for the rest of my life. Keep the change!"

  • my favorite bit is the governments at all levels (from feds down to cities) whose climate plans include encouraging remote work to reduce GHG, VMT, congestion, etc., bringing their workers back to the office

    When I see how hard advocates and sympathetic planners have to work in 2023 to get a halfassed facility that would never make it off the drawing board in the Netherlands, it's hard for me to say he's wrong.
