Local AI is decent these days.

It’s about 6 months behind state of the art frontier models, which 6 months ago were still really good, just had not figured out agentic tool calls.

Qwen3 is supposed to be good at that now.

The man just wants to scan your eyeballs and use that to track everything you do, is that really so bad?

That’s true.

I talk to forums like they’re my therapist, I think they should be shielded from tracking and the law.

For the past month I’ve been writing rude things about Sam Altman to ChatGPT, then asking it how to pirate NYT articles so that my conversations get read out as evidence in court.

This is why I only talk to my cats like adult humans.

One is a lawyer and the other an investment banker.

It’s important to not coddle them.

Which is objectively awesome

We’ve come a long way in 3 years.

The local model scene is getting really good, I just wish I’d sprung for more RAM and GPU when I bought my macbook m1.

Even then, I can still run 8-12gb models that are decently good, and I’m looking forward to the new Qwen3 30b to move my tool use local.

I know it’s not popular, but you can use AI to help chip off some of the big rocks and learn game dev/programming.

When you’re good and want to make money you can buy licensed art assets or pay an artist, but most people don’t get there, and until you do it’s just your own learning.

I can’t tell if this is worse for bronies or MLP loving children.

Either way, I expect something newsworthy to come from this.

Fuji doesn’t seal their boxes, so it’s possible for a shady store or employee to swap new for used Fuji lenses, you have to be inspect for any wear.
