  • No CEOs died as far as I know. The orcas were unfortunately targeting smallish sailboats, not CEO yachts.

  • My mom was upset when they stopped making Olestra chips. She would eat them instead of taking laxatives to make herself poop.

  • Back when everything was inexplicably EXTREME!!

  • Seagirl

  • I like pigeons and seagulls. and rats are cute.

  • Running Debian with KDE on my 2012ish Asus laptop. It's fast and everything just works.

  • I smell something stiiinky!

  • Reminder

  • My partner will grow everything out, full pits, full bush and I'm like "Yes! so sexy!" Then she'll decide to shave everything and I'm like "awwww yeah!". Then back to the bush and I'm again stoked. She's beautiful and sexy no matter what.

  • A while back I noticed my foot was wet after walking through some water. It wasn't deep so I was confused, then I realized it came through the hole that wore through the bottom of my shoe. That was the sign to go get new shoes.

  • I saw that pic and my first reaction was "is that Paul Bearer??"

  • AMA is a lobbying group, they have no power to grant or remove doctors' licenses or credentials. That power lies with state medical licensing boards, or specialty boards like ABIM and ABFM. That being said, state medical boards should be revoking licenses for those quack doctors.

  • A lot people can earn a million dollars by scrimping and saving for years. This includes many everyday working people who happen to make a decent salary. A billionaire only gets there by exploitation and taking advantage of others, you can't save up a billion dollars by having a good job and being thrifty. If somebody works a job for 30 years, saves, and then wants to buy a boat to retire on then good for him. They are not the enemy.

  • We can't have our nonsense be tainted by someone spouting nonsense!

  • I wonder if the difference is between people who like music primarily because of the memories it evokes vs people who just like music for its own sake. I'm sure this is a gradient, with most people probably falling closer to the former category and those at the other end of the scale seek out new music.

  • Same. I'll rarely put on music from my teen years (90s for me), but for the most part I'm listening to stuff released from the past 5-10 years, or older stuff I've recently discovered from before my time. There is great music (and shit) from every decade.

  • I was thinking it would be more like dolphin sex.

  • 🥺🤬😾

  • Our cat likes to "hunt" at around 3AM. Every morning there is a collection of his prey (toys) that he brings upstairs and leaves on and around the bed. At some point he will also loudly announce his arrival with his kills. It would be cute if it wasn't 3 AM on a Monday night!

  • I had a friend in school who did this. Really nice guy, but he would constantly say your name while having a regular conversation. It was always unnerving and distracting.
