  • When I used to have a 60 minute commute to work (train to a short walk to a metro to another short walk) I would down audio books like a fiend on the train. I have a neurodevelopmental disorder that makes it difficult to maintain concentration and when the narrator does distinct voices or music for different characters/scenes/etc. it's easier for me to follow than books.

  • If only everyone recorded personal logs like in Star Trek you could have just bequeathed him those! On a serious note though, good on them for trying to learn and expand their knowledge even with some sort of learning disability. I was diagnosed with ADHD like 30 years ago and I understand how troubling it can be trying to read things while constantly having to re-read sentences because you spaced out, or having to keep 5 browser tabs open because each new section brings up some other topic that I now need. I describe my learning/throught process as a spider web for good reason.

  • "Carbon Creek" serves as a VERY light introduction to some core Star Trek elements. It's far from "the best" but it's a heartwarming little peak into the world of Trek. You even see some Vulcan's become influenced by human compassion which is a good way of showing what makes humans special.

  • Hey guys, did you know that in terms of male human and female Pokémon breeding, Vaporeon is the most compatible Pokémon for humans? Not only are they in the field egg group, which is mostly comprised of mammals, Vaporeon are an average of 3"03' tall and 63.9 pounds, this means they're large enough to be able handle human dicks, and with their impressive Base Stats for HP and access to Acid Armor, you can be rough with one. Due to their mostly water based biology, there's no doubt in my mind that an aroused Vaporeon would be incredibly wet, so wet that you could easily have sex with one for hours without getting sore. They can also learn the moves Attract, Baby-Doll Eyes, Captivate, Charm, and Tail Whip, along with not having fur to hide nipples, so it'd be incredibly easy for one to get you in the mood. With their abilities Water Absorb and Hydration, they can easily recover from fatigue with enough water. No other Pokémon comes close to this level of compatibility. Also, fun fact, if you pull out enough, you can make your Vaporeon turn white. Vaporeon is literally built for human dick. Ungodly defense stat+high HP pool+Acid Armor means it can take cock all day, all shapes and sizes and still come for more

  • Well mine were already wall mounted lol but you can just do like jaybone said and use wire to make it as far from the wall as you want. I just used some leftover speaker wire and some eyelets, but you can buy purpose made "picture hanging wire" that is good for 20-30 pounds or so if you want to be extra sure.

  • One way to solve that would be get linen bed sheets. Expensive, yes, but linen is basically pre-wrinkled and gets softer with age. Instead of hundreds of very big wrinkles you'll have thousands of basically permanent small wrinkles. If it really gets bad you can just throw em in the dryer on cool and let that de-wrinkle them but I find it easier to just lean into the wrinkled "cottage" look.

  • It's also a pain in the ass if you don't have a lot of space around your bed. My parent's "camp" has a queen bed in basically a cubby and the only way to completely change the sheets to to hunch down on what's basically a side sill for the bed and contort yourself over it to stretch the sheets from corner to corner without having to kneel on the bed for support. I just stopped using a fitted sheet and throw a new top sheet on it once a week or so. works fine. plus its in a cubby so nobody sees the mess.

  • Something to understand about ADHD is that it's very much a "physical" issue. It's a neurodevelopmental disorder that impacts the signal pathways between your pre-frontal cortex (the brain's filter) and the amygdala (fight, flight, freeze). Some people's brains can sort of re-wire over time and you'll develop coping mechanisms, but I'm 39 and mine sure didn't. The stimulant medications stimulate various neurotransmitters like dopamine and norepinephrine which helps those malformed neural pathways function more effectively. It also tends to help with anxiety which often goes hand in hand with ADHD. Do yourself a little favor and read this article from Cleveland Clinic, they've been recommended to me by several health providers as a reputable source. https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/4784-attention-deficithyperactivity-disorder-adhd

  • https://add.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/adhd-questionnaire-ASRS111.pdf ask if a LCSW (most licensed therapists) or really any mental health provider will proctor this for you. Don't read it before they give it to you or it will skew your answers. This is what I was given before being offered medicine. Then when I responded well to the medication my psychiatrist was like "yeah you probably have ADHD. lets see how you do on the meds". Good luck.

  • Damn, that sucks. Yeah it was called ADD when I was diagnosed as well. It's all just ADHD now, but there are different presentations as I mentioned above. Also you can have ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder together now, which wasn't in the DSM prior to like 2014.
