  • I saw someone in NSUs the other day and I felt like something was wrong with their uniform. I couldn't put my finger on it.

He just didn't have any ribbons. No pistol qual, no national defense.

  • Left middle is a freebie for global war on terrorism national defense. it's given to anyone who enlisted from like 2008 to just last year served during wartime. Also known as the McDonald's.

    The dude is credible.

Edit: yeah I got the name wrong but it's a generic "you served during this time" type ribbon

  • Planned Parenthood is free. Your PCM or an urgent care clinic could run around $200? I think? They'll probably run an RPR test to confirm after hearing your history. +/- $40 for pharmacy if you're positive or negative.

Some signs of syphilis (you don't need to answer these):
Did you ever get a painless chauncer (ulcer lookin thing) on the head of your penis?
Did you ever get a painless rash or sore on your palms?

Additional symptoms include fever, swollen lymph glands, sore throat, patchy hair loss, headaches, weight loss, muscle aches, and fatigue. These are usually late symptoms.

  • If you're allergic to penicillin, you'll most likely get doxycycline 100mg tabs twice per day for 10-14 days. The other alternative is clindamycin injections for 10-14 days... which they probably don't want to do.

Definitely get checked. Go to Planned Parenthood or your PCM or something.

Edit: also worth looking into WHEN you got diagnosed with an allergy to penicillin. Many children have to take it at some point and break out in hives but it's a transient allergy during childhood.

An allergy panel can sort it all out.

  • THC won't show up on a panel.

Be honest with your doctors. Worst case scenario you get a little patient education about stuff you already know like "Smoking is bad, regardless of what your smoking." Best case scenario, mostly for opiate or meth users, they know what medications would be contraindicated.

  • I know a VPS is a simple thing in theory but sometimes it's a lot for a beginner.

A VPS paired with Docker may also unintentionally expose something not meant for the outside world due to it ignoring iptables and ufw

  • (I am not an expert, just a hobby self-hoster)

Think of how police obtain information about people. They usually do an investigation involving questioning and warrants to receive records and put together a case. They must obtain consent from someone or get a warrant from a judge to search records.

Or, they could just buy info from a data broker and obtain a massive amount of information about someone.

Imagine if every company has this info and can tie it in to your daily life. Google probably has your data location history and can see exactly what routes you've taken lately. They can use that information, with timestamps, to estimate your speed. What if they sold it to your car insurance company, who then uses it to raise your rates because you are labeled as a speeder?

What if your purchase history is sold to your health insurance provider and they raise your deductible because most of your food purchases are at unhealthy fast food joints?

Now, with AI being shoved into every nook and cranny in the tech we use, AI can quickly get a profile on you if it is fed your chat history. Even your own voice is not safe if it can be accessed by AI. This can be used to emulate you - Interests, chats, knowledge, sound. People could use this to steal your identity or access accounts.
