I'm not sure I understand what your point is. The US has been a plutocracy for a long time. The Republican vs Democrat debate is all about to what degree that is the case. The Democrats are slightly more benevolent when they are at the head of the plutocracy, I'll grant you that.

In the context of this meme, centrist liberalism is claiming progressive credentials on the left pane, and showing its true face on the right pane. Liberalism is all about private property. So no matter what they say about caring about these issues, if you're not paying you aren't welcome. Liberal values are phony because money always trumps them. Look at how Dems treated paying customer Israel vs non-paying folks in Gaza.

We are still feeling out the governance experiment, but it's working out pretty good so far I think. I genuinely find the feedback helpful, and I'm sure we arrived at a better version of the rule because of the community feedback. So thanks for your input.

What you "centrists" call "purity tests" by the left are in fact just a threshold level of basic of human decency. Leftists simply don't want to hang with folks who embrace bigoted viewpoints and who are willing to vote for any party that supports the genocide of Palestinians. You are deluding yourself into thinking a compromise position on these issues is in any way morally or ethically acceptable. Compromise is for things like what color you are gonna paint your living room, not for basic human rights.

You aren't in the middle if you are a misogynist who doesn't agree trans women are women, and doesn't believe in women's right to choose. You're on the right.

The word "trolling" is doing all the work in that phrase. Examples would be a user mass downvoting posts in a comm; someone downvoting every new post in a comm; or votes from vote manipulation accounts/bots. To be honest, it's not like we spend a lot of time looking at voting patterns unless a specific report is made by a mod or user about being targeted by such activity, and there is some clear evidence of a harassment/suppression campaign.
