nim looks good at a glance. I tend to stick with marketable programming languages so there are so many I don't know about. I personally think that using the optional strong typing features are enough to make Python a joy to use. But yes, other people's code can be cumbersome.
Such a well thought out and reasonable response. Thank you!
I generally do not agree with the law around intellectual property or even private property so we likely would not see eye to eye but I appreciate the chance to understand where you're coming from and what you believe.
Not really. In fact, I enjoy how often queer relationships are featured in media. What I am tired of is straight writers trying, and failing, to write queer characters.
Sure, permission needs to be sought for reprinting. That's not what we are discussing though. I will just take your word on that second part because as far as I know none of my professors asked author permission before telling the class to read anything.
Transit is basically free in my city. Just look down on your luck and the drivers will wave you through. If they are running behind they will yell at you to "just get on" instead of paying because they care more about being on time than collecting $2.50 (minus credit card fees, minus admin fees, minus grift, minus whatever else).
It seems to work okay. They crazy folks and (extremely) smelly folks would get refused service even if they had $2.50 so I don't think that is a valid concern.
Thanks for sharing. That's tiny compared to the VMs we use at work. I'm always impressed how much more efficient grassroots setups are compared to bloated corporate ones.
Have you considered using the DO managed database products to improve scalability?
I have the Jinhao set recommended in this article. It writes nicely and feels great in my hand but it leaks if handled roughly and it dries out sitting on my desk. None of my TWISBI pens have those problems. They might leak into the cap a bit with rapid pressure changes like on a plane ride but otherwise they are much more solid.
When all the apps are effectively blocked I bet they push a release to the stores with directions to an alternative. Can Apollo, RiF, Boost, Sync and all the others launch gateways and point their users at the fediverse?
