  • I (Necropola) am writing this from an account on another instance since I can now no longer login at all. After going through the "forgot password" procedure I was logged in for a few minutes and then I was logged out again (cookie expired?).

    After 3 password resets this does not work anymore either and I'm now permanently logged out.

    POST https://lemmy.world/api/v3/user/login returns 404 in client.js

     json

    payload: {
      "username_or_email": "necropola",
      "password": "<my very secret password>"
    }

    Also,

    • the instance is painfully slow after the update to BE 0.18.1-rc.4 | UI 0.18.1-rc.7
    • federattion to other instances still does not work or rather takes ages, i. e. I have to "pull" (search for full URL) new comments in order to see them on other instances.
    • subscribing to a community on lemmy.world does also not work. At least not properly, It kinda worked after 10 tries, but I only see a few (new) posts. But I am able to manually "pull" (search for full URL) certain (older) posts and then add a comment.
    • and image transparency in post thumbnails no longer works.
  • hmm, don't we have a SotO Megathread? ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • oho, preordereing SotO gets you the 29th shared slot now? Or are you looking into the future?

  • oho, you have updated to 0.18.0. We ain't afraid of no bots, right? ๐ŸŽต

  • Most likely. The probably not for very much longer in my post is a link. ๐Ÿ™‚

    But as long as it works you could swap out the r/guildwars2 link on the sidebar for one which uses libreddit, e. g.

    - [r/guildwars2}(https://safereddit.com/r/guildwars2)

    Also you could write the sidebar links to other communities in an instance agnostic way like

    - [m/guildwars2](/c/guildwars2@kbin.social) (kbin)
    - [c/mmorpg](/c/mmorpg@lemmy.ml)

    which works on any instance which already knows the magazine/community.

    I think lemmy-ui-0.18.0 has a feature which does this automatically:

    This is the comment I saw on lemmy.ml which mentions this new 0.18.0 feature:

    Sadly the same will not work for posts and comments since those are uniquely numbered per instance instead of having a global UUID:

  • I find pure condition builds too slow in Open World. Especially when you go to Core Tyria Zones where a Power Build pretty much one-shots everything and is off to the next target while a Condition Build is still ramping up its damage. Not to mention weapon racks and other environment targets which are still pretty much immune to condition damage in Core Tyria Zones.

  • You actually mean Daredevil and not Deadeye?
