So I have aquired the nanoprobes, but I can't find that turtleneck anywhere.

Mentallo's signature basses were from the CZ-101, which is from a series or low-cost phase distortion synthesizers.

A lot of bands also used FM synths like the DX series for their bases.

Creating patches for both of those can be pretty challenging IMHO as they work quite different from other analog synths.
