  • and yet, there you go again, bitching about his preferences.

I get it. English is a weird, difficult language, and it isn't your first. You're probably from northern Europe, I presume? Take it from absolutely everyone here telling you you misunderstood that you misunderstood. It's a learning experience. Being wrong isn't the end of the world for you. Grow from it.

  • That's just the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

Domino's has had coupons since before the internet existed. You have no excuse. You've never seen the coupons at the end of shopping receipts? Stuffed in your mailbox? You know they exist.

And all those other sites still have discount codes all the time. There's entire websites dedicated to sharing coupon codes for every online shop.

The weird thing is, everyone - me included in this thread - has said Domino's charges too much. As to why they don't just lower prices? Because then they wouldn't make as much money off of stupid and lazy people.

Why don't businesses include tax with the sticker price? why do they put it as $7.99 instead of $8? because it looks smaller to your reptile brains and encourages overspending. They do it because it makes more money.

SHOULD they? meh. it would be nice. But also, our smooth brains like finding prizes (discounts) which encourages spending that we might not otherwise do. So they get more money both ways. Basic marketing 101.

Honestly, as someone with your hospital expenses, I'm not sure why finding ways to spend less money isn't higher on your things-to-do list, as opposed to moderating Lemmy. I'm not telling you how to spend your time, but you did write a few posts about spending too much money.

  • single issue voters have always been a scourge to democracy. Whether they be "pro-life" and happily accept anything the candidate dumps out, as long as they control women's health, or anti-genocide and reject everything, even to the point of burning down their own country.

Very few people are actually "pro-genocide", but people need to balance everything.

it's still: genocide+lots of good stuff vs genocide+lots of bad stuff.

it's not a matter of whataboutism, because both sides are pro-genocide.

If genocide is all that matters, then you're a good person morally, but a bad American. Genocide SHOULD and DOES matter. But the topic shouldn't be your only defining political characteristic.

  • yeah, that's your entire thing. Ripping into him for having preferences. How dare he, and how dare he have an emotional reaction to his preferences. The fact he isn't dead inside proves he isn't married to you. ;-)

  • What makes my member engorged is seeing women with giant ear lobes. I am disappointed that I don't see more of them / that more women don't have giant ear lobes dragging on the ground.

Why I am disappointed? Because I think the world needs more beauty, and I like having my member engorged, and giant, floppy earlobes do both things.

Now, if you are going to twist my words into claiming that I think all women should have their ears flapping loosely in the wind, that is where you are having problems.

In your world, disappointment is something that must be fixed and corrected. Well, I'm sorry to say, but much like your sexual partners, disappointment is something we all have to learn to live with.
