We're not talking about 40-somethings who can't get off of cigarettes, we're talking about teenagers who are starting to smoke/vape because they think it's cool.

The judgement on vaping is still out. It's not been around for long enough to know what health effects it'll have in the long-term, but since you're still inhaling things your lungs just aren't made to inhale I expect that it will have a negative impact on health.

If by "do your own research" you mean "read the studies" then by all means, go ahead. If, and I guess that'll be the case for 99% of people without related degrees, you can't understand them you should accept that you're in no way equipped to do your own research.

The difference is that the images AIs spit out are, well, real. Imagining someone naked doesn't produce a potentially very convincing actual image that can be shared.

I do think that AI can't really be effectively regulated (my fucking laptop can run Stable Diffusion), but that doesn't mean that there's no need for a debate.

I don't need to. iPhones are pretty but every time I've been forced to use one I wanted to pull my hair out, I know they're vaunted for being easy to use but I find them incredibly unintuitive, and I need help to do basically anything. MacOS is mostly Fine™ (with that being said - no window snapping? really?!), but they have no laptops with a number pad on the keyboard, and even if they did, they don't have matte display options so I couldn't comfortably use the damn thing anyway. It's a laptop, I'm not going to use it exclusively in darkened rooms with the lights turned off.

Edit: Also, MacBooks are entirely unupgradable. So that's a hard no from me based on that alone. The "need more storage/RAM? Buy a new laptop!" approach is just entirely unacceptable as far as I'm concerned.

Wenn ein Völkermord stattfindet ist militärisches Eingreifen die einzig "richtige" Vorgehensweise, Sanktionen wirken bestenfalls zeitverzögert und sind damit in Situationen die sofortige Wirkung benötigen einfach nicht effektiv.

Not yet. It's the inevitable outcome of tolerating Nazis on your platform but it takes time, especially with a userbase as large as Twitter's.

Wow, you really did swallow the official Russian stance. I bet you'd also have believed that Poland attacked that German radio station in 1939. Repeat after me: Russia has invaded Ukraine because the Russian government does not consider Ukraine to be a legitimate nation. But don't take my word for it, read Putin's essay on the matter. It just takes a minimum amount of actual reflection to see that that's the real reason for the invasion.

No, we want Russia to unconditionally surrender right now. But since that's unrealistic, we want to provide Ukraine with the means to defend itself from a blatantly imperialist invasion by a fascist state.

Which just highlights how exploitative the whole endeavour is. Rich Westerners hire poor locals to risk their lives for no good reason beyond clout. These aren't scientific expeditions, there's no actual value in them.
