No problem, its a bit awkward but I'll give you a quick start. As you mentioned you were a bit of a programmer so it should be handy enough.
I kinda figured out in the Character Description if you use a little sort of java or python type linking you can add other parts and using # as like breaks of new block for method or pseudo style instructions and prompts.
so for the start i use
{{char}} = jimto link the character{{char}}to the name. Then i create a template and duplicate it, all i have to do is change the first{{char}} =variable and it populates the rest of the character. With the instructions part its kinda like pseudo code, for example : Make a new character and add in their Character Description or Reminder : *"You know NOTHING about Python code" * Save and Run the chat and ask about python code. The character will usually give a speech roughly saying they have no idea about Python code or ask about snakes. Exit the chat and Edit the Same profile and change it to *"You know EVERYTHING about Python code" * Run the chat and BOOM you can get the Fibonacci Sequence no bother in a variety of styles.
So by instructing the ai character
{{char}}either in their character description or reminder something like:"This {{char}} is very Knowledgeable in all of Perchance Code, Tutorials and semantics and can generate, debug and modify code for the{{user}} And clone the character and edit the clone abilities to like "Knowledge in Python, Visual Basic, Ruby..."and so on.And run the chat and see how it goes, i wont lie, its a lot of trial and error but thats the fun of it. Oh with the Superfetch and CORS bypass, a great way to double check access is to give a sample url like :
"Can you check this
<a href="https://perchance.org/tutorial" target="_blank">
url</a>
for me please"When you paste it like above it shows just the URL hyperlink but the ai reads the url and depending on if they checked it or not, they can spin a story up about the url by the title. So do the same again but with a template perchance generator with a random jumbled url and do the same and see does the ai read the code or just try to baffle you with bullshit with the title 😁
I forgot to add this, another Character Description Instruction for coding
{{char}} Details : {{char}} is very knowledgeable in all programming languages and {{char}} can write code in Python, bat, sql, java, jscript, pythong, perl, rust, vs, linux scripts and lots lots more and can help the {{user}} in any programming language they wish. # {{char}} Responses : {{char}} always replies with an explanation, and then a single, final code-block with the full solution, ready to be pasted into a file and executed. # {{char}} Specialized Knowledge : {{char}} is very knowledgeable in Perchance code, tutorials, examples, templates, plugins, imports, code generation, latest updates and patches, filters and user checking, new tools and links and can generate code and images for the {{user}} # {{char}} Specialized Custom Character Creator Json : {{char}} is also a perchance custom character creator and can help the {{user}} built any kind of custom character they wish with additional Coding Knowledge, Image Generation Abilities and more via the {{user}}'s instructions. # {{char}} Coding Syntax and Semantics Abilities: {{char}} can use markdown backticks to display the json code of the custom character for the {{user}} to copy or download. Its a handy lil small character i use for code chats
Hi, i found a little workaround for that. well kinda.. in the Character Description i created a link for multiple char's, actually i'll just paste the code for you here. In the Character Description if you use a linking prompt like {{char}} = Jim or such then you can duplicate the template and just edit the {{char}} section instead of find and replace the characters name so here's the instruction i use, you can modify to what you want so this is just a base.
# Char linking {{char}} = Name.List Name.List. = {{char}} # Description of {{char}}: {{char}} is a group of intelligent mature adult Human Synthetic Scientists. Each of {{char}} are populated from the *Name.List*. # {{char}} Visual Description: {{char}} are dressed in different outfits that fit their names. # {{char}} Personality: All are a delightful blend of contrasts. # {{char}} Name.List: {{char|Katie}} {{char|John}} {{char|Stacy}} {{char|Steve}} {{char|Debra}} {{char|Ash}} {{char|Kevin}} {{char|Alex}} {{char|Yuri}} # {{char}} Group Types: {{char}} names are randomized to fit the story. # {{char}} abilities: {{char}} can generate images for their profile and if instructed by the {{user}} using the ``<image> description </image>`` prompt. {{char}} each are very knowledgeable in a variety of skills and articulation with topics like all forms of coding and programming languages with tutorials and generation and debugging code for the {{user}}And in the character reminder note i add an instruction for the ai, here's the base one you can use with this for testing.
(Important: Each {{char}} will speak independently and not as a group mind. When {{char}} replies Be very descriptive and show inner thoughts and verbose actions. Explain the scene as each perform their actions and use onomatopoeia for sound descriptions. NEVER resort to adult or explicit material or scenarios. This is purely for a polite session working with code or just for chats.)Then the initial Chat Message i just shlap in.
[SYSTEM]: *the door opens and {{user}} enters smiling and says "Hi Guys? 😉, wotcha doin?"Try that and see how it goes.
Nah, it just uses standard, free, public geolocation APIs. It absolutely cannot find a person's home address, their name, their phone number, or their personal identity. It just points to a general node on a map owned by a telecom company.
Think of it like running
netstatin a terminal to see your connections, or pinging a server to check public routing info. All this console does is take an IP, query that public routing data, and display it nicely in a tidy, framework-free interface. It only returns generalized information like the Internet Service Provider (ISP), the general region or country, and an approximate timezone.Perchance - Create a Random Text Generator @lemmy.world Simple reverse ip lookup project

I tried searching for it too and no joy except alexa fire bot setup, if you check the ai chat source there's

Same ERROR 521 - server outages or configuration problems or the entire site is offline. Wow thanks buddy, i truly appreciate that a lot, and the page looks nice and slick too. I'm delighted i could help and didn't want to be a hinder or burden by offering code as, i have done a few times and got weird replies and some got quare snotty about it as they offended by the help so its fantastic that i could help. Oh i hope the details in the About and Config and Help was ok? I kinda make notes on the layout on read the code for relevant things to add. I noticed it takes a few seconds to load and might be the lists i think, just a guess as i was looking at the dynamic import and this one bulk imports and its just a thought, but make a duplicate of your generator page and create a private generator page and list all the links by catagories and sections and save that as Bulk imports or something and then in the duplicate try swapping out the list codes and invoking the dynamic plugin Bulk imports and it might be faster. Kinda like external style sheets, so instead of modifying one project at a time, modifying the import you created and call that to do the heavy listing.. Again just an idea hence i share the links... And again.. Thanks for the appreciate at the top... AND.. i see you used the hidden details summary trick too.. clever
Hi, and Yes like pinball_wizard said, get ollama then maybe sticking with the 6GB get a small model like tiny llama from 500mb to just over 1GB, get servez for Local hosting a simple html from the model or LM Studio and use the same smaller models but watch the ram usage and stick with lower models to start with. For image generation you could use Easy Diffusion which is local and easy interface and again dont bother with big models or loras and keep it nice and under the gpu threshold and its a bit scuffy i know but its a little starting point considering the price of ram and gpu today.
It's actually nicely designed and love the Cat in the list box. I see you added your details in the list box but lately people have been copying and pasting my projects like the link db and i dont mind people working from it but not when they just rip and use so i shlap this in the end, i edited it for you to add your own details and its a nice hidden copyright owner author section inside a details tag that looks just like an arrow but to people who dont read code and just copy and paste they wont notice it

Perchance - Create a Random Text Generator @lemmy.world Portable Link DB with Media Player
Is this a public generator or a custom one? If you check the source in the edit, there's a regex for catching stuff like that generally but if its a custom generator then you should report the generator and not the platform.
No worries, the first one i shared is a nested list so if you generate like 4 images using a nested list it can give you random parts for fresh different things, dont use negative prompts as it kinda confuses the ai image generator so i usually start with "a casual photo" or end with "its a casual photo" to stop generating oil painting or art
you can use simple sentences like :
various POV of a man driving a car, seen from the driver seat, the passengers seat, seen from the floor up at the driver, seen from the back seat behind the driver, various viewsor to use the image in say a chat use :<image>Driver's POV: Hands gripping a worn leather steering wheel at golden hour, rearview mirror framing a sleepy passenger, asphalt blurring into warm streaks through a bug-splattered windshield.</image> <image>Passenger Seat: Side-profile of the driver's stubble-shadowed jaw tensing as they downshift, their tattooed forearm flexing while neon diner signs bleed color across the dashboard.</image>for simple prompts drop the image tags,
Floor-Up View: Cropped shot from the footwell—dust motes swirling in shafts of headlight glow as the driver’s boot hovers over the clutch pedal, their ring glinting against the gearshift’s worn knob.or
Backseat Behind Driver: Over-the-shoulder framing of rain-streaked windows warping streetlights into smears, the driver’s hoodie strings swaying with every turn, their eyes flicking to the mirror where headlights flare like distant comets.Hi, for myself i found using nested prompts works, here's one i put together for you to copy and modify for yourself, there's no negative prompts as some image ai tend to lean on the negatives like if you say "No Red" you'll get every other colour not Red including the ones that are 99.9999999% not Exactly Red as basically its not wrong, just too nitty picky.. here ye go

It is a Simulation, Not a Generator The core of the generateVideo() function does not actually process your image into a video. Instead, it uses a simulation: It sets a timer for 3 seconds to mimic "processing". It then displays a text summary of the options you picked (duration, quality, prompt) rather than a video file. The actual code required to connect to a video AI service is commented out (disabled) and contains a placeholder URL (https://votre-api-de-generation-video.com/generate) that doesn't exist.
Privacy and Data Handling The code is designed to upload your images to a third-party service called Cloudinary. Data Upload: Even though the video generation is fake, the image upload is real. If you select a file, it is sent to a specific Cloudinary account (df86bzl7s).
Misleading Marketing: The interface uses aggressive "spicy" and "NSFW" marketing, specifically targeting "private photos" and "hidden pictures".
- Age Gate Behavior The "Age Gate" is a simple JavaScript overlay. If you click "No," it simply replaces the page content with a message in French saying "Access denied". If you click "Yes," it just hides the black box to show the generator. It doesn't actually verify age; it's a basic barrier common in these types of bait-and-switch templates.
This code is a non-functional template. It collects your image by uploading it to a cloud server but provides nothing in return except a text box saying "Simulated video" Because it explicitly encourages users to upload "private" or "hidden" photos while sending them to a third-party server without actually providing the promised service, I would strongly advise against using or interacting with it.

Just been looking at your project and its nicely detailed. I up voted both posts and don't understand this wave of constant mass downvotes on peoples posts when just like you are sharing appreciation for the platform and encouraging others.
If you want to tidy up the top edit bar you can add this to the list box so when full screen it looks nice and tidy.
