Never heard of it but sounds like programming.dev would make a great instance location for a sister community, too, if this one ever dies. But hope it doesn't! Sounds like a fun activity I might want to participate in this year.
Ya ever since everyone defederated from exploding heads there's definitely less of them. Maybe one day they'll create another instance. I hope they do, maybe a less transphobic conservative instance, just for the variety of people.
The same thing happens on Reddit, though. I think that's kind of just the internet from now on. /r/worldnews is literally just a pro-Israel, anti-Palestine echo chamber so it's nice to see another perspective on here. (I only browse Reddit at work not logged in for the record.) Over here, the hive mind on that seems to change thread to thread.
This is why I still believe in physical media. While most of my purchases are digital nowadays, I consider them disposable basically. For movies and games I really care about and want to be able to keep, I like physical.
+10/-5 feats being removed/reworked will drastically shake up the meta for martial classes
Thank goodness. Those feats made certain martial classes crazy good at the early levels with variant human.
Baking in the Tasha's changes should help rangers hopefully.
And ya, calling a lot of the optional features in Tasha's optional when they were supposed to be straight up fixes for existing issues isn't great. It'll be annoying having to get used to a bunch of new rules but the changes do sound exciting now lol.
But too bad about the spells. The fact that wizards can replace a bunch of other classes at later levels has always been kind of an issue, or easily solve an encounter unless as a DM you were aware of the effect the most powerful spells have (like Forcecage or Wall of Force), has probably ruined many a campaign story.
I only know about it thanks to a YouTube channel called Scaredy Cats that reviews a lot of old, cheesy horror movies. I should see it. They gave it a positive review iirc!
One of the biggest reasons I'd love to move to a house is so I can upgrade my sound system without disturbing neighbors. If only they were affordable anywhere near my friends and family.
But why not say that?
