  • There is no law regulating who someone can sell something, assuming it's not regulated goods aka drugs, guns.

AI companies just outbid everyone else by a big enough margin and there are less than a handful of companies producing RAM as it's rather complicated and specific production process.

New producers cant easily enter the market due to the complexity and completely insane initial investment cost in setting up the production and they would have to design their own RAM chips as well, which would take years if not decades.

Current chip producers don't want to increase production either due to liking high price and being afraid of the bubble popping.

Even if there is some legal grounds for government stepping in and regulating supply to avoid collapse of smaller companies who can't outbid AI companies. They are dining and getting funded by the same AI companies.

  • And that has always completely baffled me. What's the reasoning behind it? Why? Are they delusional? Do they consider themselves somehow special? If something has 99%+ chance of failure, theres absolutely no point to evne try or consider it as something that can happen, it's basically a statistical anomaly.

  • Mobile phone, tissue papers are always there.Rest are occasional, wallet/card, keys, sunglasses, optical glasses. Most of my stuff is in a backpack and pockets are generally rather empty.

  • You should pay more attention.

To a kid with textbook ADHD.And that thing hasn't changed at all in 25+ years, i still get it and my daughter gets it as well in school.

  • Cant tell for sure as it wasn't that much of an issue when i was younger so i really didn't have to turn much attention to it.

It was most definitely easier when i was younger. Kinda like more receptive and it was easier to go along. One guess was that maybe life has gotten just busier over the years, but it has remained pretty much the same busy for nearly 15 years. Overall load has been probably even reduced due to kids being older now and not working 2 jobs.

The physical pleasure is most definitely there and sometimes even mental/psychological pleasure, but there's absolutely no drive to reengage, even though i logically know it is pleasurable.

I have heard and been browsing communities and googling about asexuality too and that seems to be mostly about attraction, which is an emotion and I'm really really bad at detecting those and as asexuality is kinda final i will avoid that for as long as possible.

  • No extra charge is temporary.

  • Libido, not sure does it fall under mental health issue, but I've narrowed it down to phycology as i have gone through all the physical and many hormonal fixes for it without any changes.

Im a guy and missing one of the most stereotypical aspect guys have. That's kinda emasculating and i obviously overcompensate and of course this guarantees permanent relationship issues

Overall, It's complicated. Probably closest fit is responsive vs spontaneous desire model.Likely spontaneous desire. I can easily forget that sex exist, in addition it takes nearly perfect conditions and good timing just to be receptive of getting turned on. Life is rarely perfect and it takes actual effort to set everything up for those perfect conditions. Often times there just isn't enough energy or time left to even get started to get into the mood.

  • Good point, but wrong conclusion. Yeah, me selling crack wouldn't change anything on a world wide scale, but it would change things for the worse inside my sphere of influence. The only thing person can have a little and albeit a very limited effect on.

So person shouldn't sell crack out of simple selfish desire to not feel bad(guilt/cleaner conscious), the crackhead will likely just go to another dealer, not in the vain hope of having any actual effect on the wider world

  • And i never said doing something good isn't worth it. Even in first reply i said best one can do is to just help people close to them, inside their sphere of influence.Just that it's really really unlikely to have any meaningful effect on world wide scale, even after our deaths. There's no point to hope to change the world, not that theres no point to help others.

  • And how much of an effect beyond self satisfaction that has? It will more likely disproportionately effect people close to you/reliant on you than have any effect on the machine.

  • This is the delusion im talking about. It's completely baffling to me how people can take something that has a 99,99% failure rate and assume they're the 0,01% and that's not limited to politics. People constantly do it with every single aspect of life.

You're using a survivorship bias and seeing only the ones that succeeded and ignoring all the ones that failed or didn't even get off the ground to be heard of.

I'm fairly sure not a single one of those were started by a single individual either. These were all started by groups of like minded individuals and I'm not even in a country where there are enough people to get started with any movement.

I'm not sticking my head in the sand. I'm just not delusional to assume there's a realistic possibility to affdct any change even if I'd were to dedicate rest of my life to it. I don't assume I'm special.

We're all just cogs in the machine. Yeah sure we can somewhat change in which part of the machine we are and have a cleaner conscious, but it will not stop the machine.

  • Well yeah. Like what else am i supposed to do? Why people online always have this delusion of grandeur that they have any power to change world wide politics? We are all completely meaningless cogs in the machine.

I still need food, clothes, shelter, warmth. To get those i need to either do it all myself like back in mediveal times, which is rather time, energy consuming/inefficient and unstable or exchange it with universal currency. To get universal i need to exchange my time and skills for it aka work.

I'm not someone special, i cant change the world, i cant even get the snowball effect starting. I, as a single individual am completely meaningless in world scale politics. Best i can do is just adapt to changing circumstances and surive, maybe even help a people close to me/within my sphere of influence.

So yeah, i keep working like normal.

  • Nice try AI algorithms trying to get discriminating information to blackmail me later down the line. I'm not going to fall for it.

  • Rather disappointed, awful, like a failure. I'm the one whos supposed to be safe and comforting for them. Of course excluding when they do something bad as anxiety then is kinda expected, but even then the punishment is never unpredictable, cruel or malicious and there's ample warning before hand.

Though i do understand you, had the same issue when growing up, eventually went on to become kinda debilitating as i couldn't speak to her at all. Though there is some fault on her as well as she was kinda explosive and unpredictable. Never spoke to her about it, didn't have the balls/guts.

  • Or any neuro

  • Newton's first law of motion. Body in motion remains in motionSo cant get stuck if i never sit down, keep on moving. Start in the morning and drop dead in the evening, never sit down too long in the meanwhile.

Though yeah probably not that helpful in getting into motion again once stuck. Body in rest remains at rest

    Warning: not the healthiest approach

  • I cant speak on that, haven't done any deeper research in that matter, just the original funny fact got lodged in my brain and not like I'm ever going to test it out myself.

  • he just threw some shit at the ceiling fan and ran out of the room. Everyone else is getting covered by it.
