  • I was probably using Emby already by then, had bought a lifetime license since it didn't require bouncing things off and outside server like Plex did (or was it that Plex was a renewing subscription, I forget) , so it just stayed out of inertia.

  • I can't say I've given Jellyfin a proper try (as in using it and the clients exclusively for a long period) but we have been using Emby for quite a while before I knew it existed.

If I'm not mistaken Jellyfin is actually a fork of Emby so they're pretty similar, but one is a bit older.

  • Of course we can fully believe information pushed by the current Tylenol=Autism administration too. Not to say everyone did great then, but I'd bet that the next report will show MASSIVE growth and prosperity (for the 0.001%) to claim we're all great again.

Edit: also notable, the article cited how it got so much worse after 2022, guess what also happened then?

  • Prosecute maybe not, but persecute... Given the number of crimes he's been tried for and convicted of and his wholesale dismissal of the court's validity when things don't go his way, I'm sure extrajudicial is good enough for him.

  • Mr. Trump’s order said that he was declaring antifa a “domestic terrorist organization” — a designation that does not actually exist under U.S. law

Here's the problem with just saying he can't do that, it doesn't matter if he can't when he already did. To his cult, that's all it takes, legal doesn't matter, only that Trump said so.

  • On the flip side you get goofy things like this where you are supposed to use a specific amount of something that so far as I know you would have to buy as a pre-made mix. Either that or start a separate recipe to make you own cake mix.

  • I know nothing about Australian law, but American bankruptcy allows for claim holders to object to the discharge of a debt, and court judgements for criminal acts are one that's particularly likely to have that upheld as I recall. Do they not allow for that in Australia?
