  • fdroid apps can use a reproducible build instead of being signed by fdroid. In that case the dev can use their own keys and also upload to the play store under the same keys. From memory I think the fossify suite apps do this, so could in theory be approved by google. In practice it's unlikely though, the process costs money, requires giving identity documents to google, and also makes your app subservient to them, giving them full control over future updates, revocation, and making you dependent on their arbitrary rules for what apps are allowed to do.

  • 223? Isn't this 225?

  • Usually someome else is posting them, I just did this one a single time.If you use a client that can block words you can block posts with "Mimi" or with "[Mimi]" in their title, that'd work better.

  • I have had a desktop and a laptop on a basic compatibility script, that only implements sudo <command>, for a long time, and not had any issues. And I installed and compiled a bunch of random stuff.I would be very surprised if there were issues.

I recommend you set up some log file to log calls to sudo, so you can judge how much that layer is even needed.

  • Oh yeah I just cross posted this sprcific one cause I saw @e0qdk@reddthat.com didn't.

  • I think the post is great advice not communicated clearly.Don't try making yourself believe important things are unimportant, practice.Apply for a job you don't want or need. Get documents when you're already qualified for a fast track and could skip at any time. Do the long procedure just to see if it was possible had the other ways not worked out.Have something changed that really doesn't matter.

This is calling for bureaucracy training.

  • It also stopped php 6.9Luckily I can still use Linux 6.9

  • I was talking about the new user experience. No new user can navigate without the arrow keys, the most you can expect is looking up i and esc to enter and exit edit mode, and then using both modes the same way being annoyed at being in the wrong mode when something doesn't work.Keeping track of the modes is also obviously something only problematic to those not familiar with vim.

  • Being good at nano does not transfer like notepad transfers to notepad++ or kwrite.vim does not respect nano shortcuts and modes are simply a barrier: an extra keypress and another thing to keep track of. It slows you down significantly.Noone good at nano would switch to vim naturally, you have to force yourself to endure until you catch back up to what you could long do in nano.

Conversely I don't know a single shortcut, behavior, or info notepad shows that np++ or kwrite don't have. Besides maybe bracket and quote completion in kwrite which you'd have to disable in settings. And on the other hand the advantages are more directly visible, like tabs, syntax hilighting, ...You might not immediately intuit the shortcuts for tab management, but you can still use tabs and then not return to notepad due to missing them.

  • I think that date is incorrect. Probably an old post and this new post/image appears in the recommendations/feed.In general I find those dates on search results increasingly unreliable.

  • That's inconvenient, cases are thick enough and if you want to use nfc you also get interference. In practice you end up with a small cardholder, which is a second item to keep track of.

  • I've also had issues with the casing. I wanted to change my display name to lowercase but that seems to have very weird results with that menu, apparently ignoring it bit looking as if it took the change until a hard reload.

Edit: specifically the webui now already took my username as lowercase, but summit keeps showing my user as uppercase and its web settings also show it as being entered as uppercase, even though it is set lowercase.

  • There's little hope since it's a closed system with authentication chain to google. It doesn't even work on android phones when google doesn't feel like it.Europe has a few banks that have their own system that might be possible to get running with very good emulation. But those apps too are obfuscated closed blobs with endless proprietary root detection stuff.

A good solution would need some fundamental change in how payments work.

  • Make sure the glasses are not heavily tinted, else you'd be unidentifiable so your friends wouldn't hit you up on a conversation when they happen to walk past you.

  • Sounds like it'd only work for side windows not windshields.

  • I believe the point was they were treated as having used ai because ai sounds like them because it was trained by people with their accent.Similar to the "This is not ai, I'm just autistic".
