Mine take about a week. And last time the tax software and IRS instructions conflicted. I ended up reading about 300 pages from the IRS website and eventually gave up.
It's incredibly stressful. I get about 3-4 months to do them, depending on how quickly I get all the necessary forms. If I don't pay in time the IRS fines me 25% of my taxes as a late payment.
Figure I typically put in about 40 hours per year to do my taxes, AND I HAVE TAX SOFTWARE!
I was on the fence about them for past shenanigans but this is the final nail in the coffin. My friends are now telling me that musk did not, in fact do a Nazi salute because his fingers weren't pointed the right way
30 minutes? I got a 24 hour ad one time, during the pandemic. It was this trippy art video thing where worms were eating the universe. Or something. I don't know, but it was animated in a hand drawn style.
Oh I have. I had a coworker who used to brag that when his daughter had a date, he would open his garage door and start cleaning his guns so the kid would see him.
Nope, not at all. My parents berated me until I was 35 to "wait until you're ready to have kids."
Then they were like, why are you waiting to have grandkids?! You've been married for 5 years!!!
Long IT nerd here, I've known about those shortcuts for a long time.
Its interesting as I left the IT industry about 12 years ago and work in an unrelated field. Half the time I talk to our tech support guys, I know more than them. My fellow colleaugues think I'm like Merlin the magician.
Are any of these actually good?
I mean, aside from Lemmy. I tried Mastadon and no one was actually on it, seems like everyone is jumping to Bluesky.
