  • Your kid doesn't need a phone. If you want them to have a phone, then a flip phone that allows them to call you.

  • But, "nobody wants to work", "there's a labour shortage"...etc..etc..

It's almost like we can't survive when our capitalist overlords don't want to provide decent wages.

  • Every "Why?" question when it comes to the motives of business people and corporations in a capitalist system can be answered with:

Money. The pursuit of endless profit at the expense of everything else.

  • War is like really super profitable though. So, on one hand we could potentially save the planet.. but on the other hand we could get some short term profits. Tough call.

  • But, according to the government, "we have a labour shortage".

  • I doubt any of us could sit in a chair doing nothing for even 1 day without becoming restless without phones or other distractions. 4 billion years? Your brain would be mush. You'd have long forgotten your own name or even the concept of money.

  • If there's one thing I think of when I think RBC, it's "ethics". I do hope she gets a reasonable severance package. Perhaps a modest $10 million.

  • Shouldn't we have regular intelligence in Canada before we start making artificial intelligence.

  • The chemtrail nutjobs are going to lose their minds even more.

  • If you can't find workers, pay more and people will come. It's not a labour shortage. It's an abundance of greed.

My baby boomer parents worked in factories because they could afford a family and buy a house. I don't work in that factory because wages are stagnant. There's no incentive for employers to increase them when you can simply exploit overseas workers who will work for a pittance.

    There is no labour shortage.

  • Didn't our PM just say yesterday that we have a labour shortage?

  • If only there was a solution! People are struggling to afford having children and a work/life balance. What in earth could they need? So mysterious.

  • Singh should be on that list. I figure he'll jump ship after his pension. It's all he cares about at this point.

  • Something something meritocracy...

    Billionaires shouldn't exist. It's obscene.

  • Just say "impossible". Buying housing in Canada is impossible, unless you are wealthy.

  • Nobody should go hungry. Hopefully these kids get fed and get great education.

And when they are older, I hope they can afford rent. Otherwise they may end up homeless, and hungry again.

  • Should be law that they get paid minimum wage - whatever the average is between all the provinces.

  • Unsustainable immigration levels + not enough housing = $$$ for real estate developers, which is the most important thing.
