She can apply but it doesn't mean she'll get it. It's being expanded to allow consideration for mental conditions. There's still a ton of hoops and second opinions needed to get approved.
There is way too much misinformation and sensationalism over MAID
On the Wikipedia page is says it's not known for sure but both are possible. Its measurements fit an sperm whale but the area it hung out wasn't the normal spot that they would normally hang out in.
Ahh gotcha, I wasn't sure. And yeah the Liberals here are like progressive classic conservatives. They're not insane like current conservatives but they like to maintain the current status quo and will occasionally give us something like dental care but limit it to a very small subset of people. And that's only if forced to by the supporting left leaning party (NDP).
I think you're confusing the US definition of liberal with the definition of liberal in near the rest of the world. Even in Canada the Liberals are centre at best
That's just luck really. I'm in Ottawa but I got a decent rental house downtown for cheap just by looking at a randomly perfect time. It helps that it's in a college area so it's pretty loud with parties but that actually works to my benefit most of the time
Not American but the US had an extremely high tax rate on the rich for most of its prosperous years. It was only recent removed and you now have massive wealth inequality
I think to sign out you have to go to manage accounts and delete your account. The wording is a bit scary but it's just removing your user from memmy. The only issue (it might have just been me) is that the add account button wasn't working, so when I did this I had to reinstall the app to log back in.
He kind of already has implemented something like this. If you ever try and load a mobile reddit thread in your browser, you're greeted with a download the app-wall like 50% or more of the time.
This start to the summer has just been crap. It's been cyclically too hot, then too rainy, then too dry and then too fiery. I guess this will just become the new normal for Ottawa as the climate emergency really takes hold.
Honestly I'm sure a lot (or at least some) of the reddit employees who have been there for longer feel the same way as we do. I can imagine if you joined back when reddit was open source or even shortly after, seeing reddit go down this path would be upsetting.
I know if my company decided to screw over our users this badly, my morale would be non existant. Most people don't have that much loyalty to their companies and reddit would be no different
Congrats Toronto! I'm jealous you guys got to actually vote in someone progressive (I'm from Ottawa and we recently voted to slightly lower property taxes over everything else)
It looks like civ5 or 6
