Yeah, written in a little booklet and everything. You don't have to pass it down as an oral tradition from generation to generation!

You can also check the modlogs. They can be really revealing.

Three-way tie. Unfortunately there hasn't been movement on any due to personal stuff, but hopefully soon:

• Pathfinder 2e for a modern D&D-type experience. (Not to yuck anyone's yum, but I have plenty of gripes with 5e.)
• Dolmenwood. Currently awaiting delivery of the Kickstarter. For those old-school D&D vibes.
• Burning Wheel. My favorite game I've never played, even after owning the books for nearly two decades. :P But for real this time!

Yeah, that was a bummer. I first heard "Big Iron" via Fallout, but I listened to all of Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs and absolutely loved it.

Seriously. If someone's support is transactional, it isn't worth shit. It's not like having an okay position on some issues means you "get" to call for a little extermination, as a treat.

You don't have to be perfect on every issue, but for fuck's sake, there are hard lines when it comes to people's right to exist, and live free. And even any decent takes she had are long past, since nearly ALL she does nowadays is rage tweet about trans people from her fucking castle.

I recently got into hiking, which provides some nice changes in scenery!

Granted, that's hard to do as a regular thing multiple times a week. But still, a walk around your neighborhood, or especially local parks if you've got any sizable ones, might be fun in a way going on the treadmill isn't.

That was such a dumb move, not just because it was petty in and of itself, but because it means you now can't separate Musk's drama from his products. His antics will demonstrably spill over into fucking with your car, even after you bought it.

To go one step further, it's not just that their customers will fill in the gaps, they'll also take the blame.

The two that stick out most to me are Sokka and Walter White.

A major part of Sokka's character arc is outgrowing his misogyny. I mean, Christ, the Kyoshi Warriors episode had him humble himself, ask to learn, and crossdress.

As for Walter White, his arc is becoming "more based" and "less of a cuck." It's also about him becoming a total monster.

There's been a lot of discourse about "media literacy," and it's frustrating that the people who most lack it, often in destructive ways, end up just dismissing the criticism out of hand, as though it's not dead-on.

That happened with my local library system. We had a dipshit conservative try to ban pride displays. Turns out, even if this is a red county, the people who actually read books and care about public services don't like that, and now knew to pay attention to local library politics. The hearing about it was packed, and she lost badly the next election.

I admit I didn't consider voting in library board elections before, but now you bet I'm showing up.

I mean, I know it's nonsense, and I know it's fascists testing the waters for being openly anti-democracy, but is it also just playing into the names of the two major parties? It's so silly I genuinely never considered it before, but it's depressingly plausible.

In my subjective experience, gender issues bring out the worst in Lemmy. There's a small but very obnoxious contingent out there ready to fight, even if they have to put words in your mouth to do it, like you've pointed out.

From what I've seen from Not Just Bikes, there's also car-sharing. There are services to make it super easy to borrow a car for as little as a few hours if you just need to lug some furniture or something.
