Well, our entire legal system says otherwise.

The Supreme Court very much defines how our laws work and we are beholden to it.

You can criticize, but that does absolutely nothing. The citizens have no power over the Supreme Court and you can't ignore their rulings.

Granted, I'm not familiar with how a Mauser .30-06 breaks down either, my experience with that caliber is my grand-dad's Remington 721 that I inherited.

But on that gun, even if you remove the barrel, the wood stock aint fitting in a backpack.

Because the Supreme Court and it's powers are defined in the Constitution itself, that's not possible. They are the highest court in the country.

Go one better... You buy distinct clothes that stand out just for the shooting, then burn them after and go back to your normal clothes.

I mean, if I WANTED to do it... You take a bullet and paint the trans flag on it in nail polish. That would be the easy way.

The representatives in Red states are in control in the house and senate. If it becomes clear they are acting against the will of the people they represent, that could actually change policy.

Right now, blue state reps have zero power, protesting to get their attention literally has no impact because they can't do anything even if they wanted to.

Been following the talking heads on the news and the consensus among professionals is that it's not a particularly hard shot and, if anything, shooter was aiming for a headshot and wasn't prepared for the bullet drop and got lucky.

I think the primary problem you note is a distinct lack of focus, and, in my mind, that started with Occupy Wall Street. There was no organization, they didn't have demands, they couldn't articulate what they wanted, they were just angry. Which I get, but if you want someone to validate your anger, you need to give them a path.

I was legit curious and back in the day went down to the local Occupy and asked a guy:

"So what do you want? What can the banks do right now that would make you dust off your hands, go 'my work here is done!' and send you back home to live your life?"

"I WANT THEM TO FUCKING DIE!!!"

"Well, that's not going to happen, you have any other ideas?"

Well, let's have a discussion. What specific regulations do you want to get rid of? How do they kill jobs? How many jobs would it bring back if we ditched the regulations? What harm would it cause if we didn't have that regulation?
