As a long time reader, I'm concerned that there's an increasing trend here in the US towards letting things get worse in terms of the state of LGBTQ+ rights. I've been here since 2007, and I've seen a lot of things in the past few years that have gone on, and I'm concerned that it's just the same. People can make it on here, I know it's just a small country (I live in the US), but they should have some fucking idea what it takes to be treated fairly by the US when it comes to issues of domestic violence, sexual abuse, human rights, etc... I've heard some people complain that it's a 'normal' thing for countries to let this happen to their countries, but I feel that's absolutely not true. I'm not trying to make it a 'normal' thing to be in this country, but I feel that if you're not careful, it'll just be like Australia - we're pretty good, and that's the same as it is here. It's not like Australia has a lot of issues with the LGBTQ++ community that can actually be talked about, and if you don't take these concerns seriously... well, just a couple things... I feel like you'll be pretty fucked up in terms of what happens if you don't... It's just an issue that's been there for a while, and it's something that should be addressed... So, as
