  • I really don't like ratio squarkers. As in: the first person to bring up ratios in a twitter thread. Having to read that childish crap is hard, to be honest.

  • This is unsolicited advice so feel free to ignore, especially if it sounds "twee."

    • having a positive mindset, because it's almost like people can sense when you are yearning to get into a relationship
    • in the same vein, treat potential mates as potential good friends. Your first few meetings with them is like their "informal interviews for being a friend." You can invite them on a date (or just to do something together as friends)1 which is the final interview, which lets them get the higher position in your social circle.
    • I don't say that to complicate what should already be simple; firstly, it's getting not simple in this day age, because people don't know what to do with all the dating apps and SM. Secondly, the message is just create a more relaxed low pressure atmosphere for them
    • to revisit the first point - this is just something many people say, and i have experienced in my own life: stop seeking a partner and one will stumble into your life. This might be why people already committed relationships get a lot of attention; they seem self satisfied.

    I also just want to say that more people are in your position than you think ❤️. Zoomed are the most sexless and relationship generation, after all.

  • I personally don't mind that. I must be a really pro-small talk person. Or socially deprived already.

  • I am in that stage. I don't know how or when I put on weight (and before I went on holiday I swore I was at normal weight again) but I'm taking this as a learning experience.

  • Oh my, I actually thought people got less picky when they went longer without getting married. Mixed messages I suppose.

    There'll be more people in the same situation soon, if that's any consolation. I'm living with my family during uni and might even be stuck here for a while afterwards.

  • Also in the mean time, this channel (Dr Rowe) has guides to relieving various nerve and muscle pains, and it seems to be effective for a lot of people who are being let down by doctors. Have a scroll through his channel and see if your area of pain comes up.

  • Yeah I would go for that and get it on the dark web if you can actually source it there. NHS sounds like it has been massively unhelpful to you and like they want to make you live on benefits or something.

    Though some things to consider:

    • are you actually going to be able to receive deliveries of it long-term? The post office is probably quite good at detecting when medicine is in a package and then the state is probably very tough on denying any alternative medicine sourcing.
    • Is it addictive in any way? Have you got the ideal dosage worked out?

    Once you've got an answer to those questions, go for it.

  • I have been told that in tropical places there is an abundance of food, so over there is ideal, but there's also mosquitos and disease and it's not an environment i'm familiar with.

    Probably somewhere really remote but near to human settlement - easier to get casual work, hopefully?? Because less available workforce?

    The sensible answer is probably "somewhere with good social safety net' like The Neterpherlands or Sweden.

    And if we think "wilderness survival" situation, the only answer for me would be somewhere temperate or sub arctic because those are the environments i'm familiar with; europe woukd be nice, but is there anywhere truly remote there?
