How do you decide when to give up on a book?

  • When my brain starts to wander off or I’ve read a chunk and can’t remember what went on. I then ask myself if I really care what happens next, if not it’s time to ditch.

  • Got chronic dry eye and eye strain, I don’t blink enough apparently. My eyes hurt all the time but I refuse to let it stop me from reading.

  • Honestly I found the husband really irritating his character wasn’t believable at all. As for the series I only got to episode 3 and had to stop as I realised I was picking up my iPad instead of watching the program..!! :)

  • I find reviews of books on Goodreads to be open and honest especially by users. I’m a frequent poster of reviews on books that I have read and try to be honest about them. If your really stuck you could always ask ChatGPT..!!

    • Just started R.A. Salvatore's Dark Elf trilogy. Absolutely love it!

  • Glad you are enjoying them..!! I love fantasy books and when I saw The Legend of Drizzt books I added them to my Goodreads to read list. After that I thought I’d skip some and go for The Hunter’s Blades trilogy.
