Linux @programming.dev

Docker Alternative: Podman on Linux

  • GNOME has a built in OneDrive integration, and it works well from my experience, one of the reasons I decided to stay on this DE

It acts a an additional directory tho, I'm unsure about your use-case

  • Honestly I would, but I am an Mbin user, not Lemmy and it doesn't support remote moderation :/ Thank you for removing it tho!

  • I deleted first one I posted because of the title, strange, I guess the deletion haven't federated correctly? it's gone on my instance

  • Servo Browser Engine @programming.dev

This month in Servo: experimental mode, Trusted Types, strokeText(), and more!

    Servo Browser Engine @programming.dev

    Servo 0.0.1 Release

  • My guess is that because hardware support, you can install PC Linux on pretty much any system, but I am unaware of mobile Linux os that officially supports my phone.

  • Yep, I mainly use GLM-4.6 now and it's actually pretty good, I use it through API, not locally tho

  • You can follow them from MBin, at it supports following users. I am pretty sure you can't from the other two, as they only support groups

  • If you're the post author you can mention the community in the post, and it'll crosspost it to it (Like with a.gup.pe when it existed)

    I don't think there's a better way if you're not the author

  • Have you reached out to any of the community members, community moderators, or if inactive, instance admins?

No, I haven't, but you're open to do so if you have the motivation. I already organized consolidation, so I'm aware of how it works.

  • Anthropic's Claude AI @lemmy.world

    Introducing Claude Sonnet 4.5

  • You can read about it on the FreeBSD website — https://freebsdfoundation.org/freebsd-project/what-is-freebsd/

Over Linux I assume? It has some unique stuff, like ZFC completely integrated. There's monolithic approach, Linux is just a kernel with a lot of distros, while with bsd kernel, userland and utilities are developed together. Some people say that is also more simple and logical than Linux. In my opinion both are good, it just depends on your use case.

Also most of ppl who use BSD use Linux too from my experience.

  • Yup, you're correct, makes me wonder if any of them would be open for consolation. I tried to request one on my instance, as it's been dead for the last 2 years.

  • I use Chub for this purpose too, so can't really help there

If you're using SillyTavern it also supports import from janitorai, so I take cards from there pretty often

  • OpenStreetMap: Fediverse group @kbin.earth

    7.0 Release - Every Door

  • Cool to see a community on my instance!

  • Servo Browser Engine @programming.dev

This month in Servo: variable fonts, network tools, SVG, and more!

  • Good and educational video, recommend watching, a lot of people don't know what even are the reasons behind the building cost, and it shows a good example of how it can be reduced

Fun fact: You can also follow this channel on Peertube, at !urbanism@video.canadiancivil.com

  • and the support between both is rudimentary, as people commented below

Not on Mbin at least.. I follow plenty of people from Mastodon/Other services from this MBin account and interact with them time from time
