  • It was almost dark by the time we got to the last half of the drive, so it was hard really see to much of that part. But just as we left the park we stopped at an overlook, off to the side, right after you get on the the main highway, the last bit of light was dissapearing, but you could still see the whole view. I Def recommend stopping there for one last look. It was beautiful. I'll see if any of my pictures from that spot are even decent.

But if you happen to be driving back toward west glacier / on to somewhere like Columbia Falls, make sure someone e is rested enough to make the journey cause...whewww, that's a drive after hiking around all day.

    Thanks! :)

  • First thought: If this was done on purpose, don't these people know how many bigwigs get caught. Like, all the time. Even martha stewart got caught. Jeeze.

Why would they think they would special? One would think they would give it up at this point.

Second thoughts: if CEOs, etc, keep this up, it makes me wonder how many people get away with it all the time, for them to take a chance like that.

Third thought: they really think the consequences for insider trading are less problematic to them than facing jail, and paying a fine up to, what, 3 times the amount they made? That makes no sense. Back to the second thought, I guess.

  • I totally just wrote out the wording in a text and sent it to someone and they freaked out.

What that in? It's really acidic?

    Bahahaha

Edit: I spelled it out for them and they still called me and asked what it was.

  • I mean, honestly I was hoping for tips and tricks to... maybe not make them suffer, but definitely keep all the clean water for myself. If they suffer due to me hoarding all the water then so be it.

Of course, I'll share with those who ask nicely, but, with that types* mentality, I doubt they would.

*I'm not referring to all conservatives, just the crazy ones.

  • This.

You get some gear. It's nice, but heavy...then you realize there's so much lighter stuff out there.

$100/lbs later your congratulating yourself that your base weight is 15lbs until you add food and water, and you realize that your pack still is too heavy. You finally shave off another 2 lbs by buying all new luxury items at $30-$50 a pop, and getting a lighter stove.

Then winter comes, and that 4 season, dyneema tent looks mighty appealing. Not to mention you need a better rated sleeping bag (cause that hammock ain't gonna cut it) and a pad, a better puffy and fleece, crampons, maybe an ice pick, and another stove that works in the cold...

Edit. Damn it, I forgot I need new shoes...even if I wanted to brave it using my summer pair, those trail running shoes are destroyed over the course of 1 season.

  • Technically, it said he still occasionally sings at the family restaurant.

Idk. So I look it up, cause it sounds ridiculous, and it says that Jet fuel produces an average of 21.1 pounds of CO2 per gallon and aviation gas 18.4, while fuel for cars is 19.6 and that (not the greatest source but) helicopters and airplanes use the same type of fuel he might not actually be wrong about saving emissions, considering Austin traffic nowadays...but im no expert, and it's still a jackass thing to do, not to mention pretty dangerous, no matter how much the police block off the parking lot.

  • The first time I heard of this place was from this documentary on you tube called into eternity

Although, a little moody, the flim has alot of interviews with the architects and engineers and stuff that, and talks about the problems they have to consider after it's sealed off.

  • On June 28, 2018, a welfare check turned into a pursuit for a suspect. Nelson deployed his K9 and the K9 bit the original detective pursuing the suspect. Nelson commanded the K9 to release the detective, with his injuries from the attack rendering him unable to continue. Continuing the pursuit, Nelson rammed and tackled the suspect to the ground and the K9 bit the suspect. Nelson held the suspect in a vascular neck restraint. The K9 then bit Nelson.

They can even control their own dogs.

Seriously, there is a time and a place that a k9 maybe warranted, but it's not all the time, in every place.

On the hunt for a serial killer, sure. Attacking someone for jaywalking? That should be investigated as use of excessive force, as much as it would if the cop beat the guy up himself.

  • Yesterday, I got some pop up when I opened chrome about blah blah Google...ads...blah blah, and promptly downloaded Firefox.

Yes it's lame it wasn't already on there, but it's a shared / work computer and I try to keep new downloads to a minimum, but that was the last straw.

  • Bahaha! You think an engineer even knows how to work autocad?

Maybe 10 or 20 years ago, this mighy apply. At this point they leave the hard work for everyone else to figure out and draw up.

    They just grab thier stamp.

(This, at least, applies to one's in the US. I apologize to any one who actually applies their degree to their field)
