Since Americans keep voting for and buying into the private health care system, Biden is making the option American citizens are choosing and American corporations are pushing, more affordable and accessible.
His administration is doing the best they can with what American citizens choose to pay for and American corporations choose to provide.
That's an interesting take but one that I completely disagree with. No one is voting for the current system. You may believe that people voted for Biden because he promised to keep the current system. I believe they voted for him despite that. Most Americans do support single payer/public option healthcare, it's just impossible for them to get it in the current system (I explained why in the previous comment).
I don't know about OP but I'm not saying Biden ignores healthcare. I'm saying he is not delivering what most people want: a public option. People want new system while Biden gives them more of the old one. That's why people complain.
Actually, you're totally wrong. Healthcare in US is private and making access to private healthcare easier doesn't solve any real problems. It just pumps more money into insurance companies and private hospitals. The healthcare expenditure is still raising (and is highest in the world with worst results than in other countries), medical bills are still growing (including out of pocket costs), people have more and more debt and insurance companies are doing great on the stock market. And this is exactly what Biden wants: preserve the status quo and pump more money into private healthcare companies. The main difference between Republicans and Democrats is that Republicans want to cut government spending and make individuals pay directly to the private sector (so they can charge even more) while Democrats want to tax people and pump money into private sector through ACA (in a more controlled way). That's it.
When people say 'healthcare' they mean 'system without huge out of pocket costs and crashing debt', not 'a bit cheaper private insurance'.
My heat pump has a timer setting. I can tell it when to start heating water or when to start AC. If your weekly schedule doesn't vary widely it should be enough. I have it set up to heat the water during the nigh and heat up my apartment a little bit right before I get out of bed. I never needed anything more.
You switched to Rust from other language? I think what I would really like to know deep knowledge about Rust do you need to make the switch. I read the whole book and did a deeper investigation about the main features for a talk about Rust in my company. I've spend some time reading about the ideas behind type classes, algebraic types, memory safety and others and how it compares to other languages. But that's pretty much it. Is there anything else you need deeper understanding of? What are they asking about during interviews?
There's so many issues with all the smart/IOT devices that it's just not worth getting into. Few if any manufacturers offer proper, open integrations and when it comes to home appliance there are more important features than that. Just get up to turn off your AC, that's still the best solution.
I guess they don't want to create separate NSFW category that has to be treated in a different way. They probably think it's just to risky to get involved in that type of business.
Yeah, I had the same issue. Sometimes it was the SD card, sometimes the network interface (not your case obviously), sometimes things connected to USB, sometimes it was running hot... I gave up and now I just run everything on an older Slimbook Zero. Yes, power consumption is higher (still pretty low) but so is stability.
I'm thinking about moving to Finland for a year or two. What do you think? I mean not about moving with me. Just if it's a good idea? I'm also quite antisocial. How good/bad is Finland?
It's not that simple. Racist folks in America don't care they are poor as long as minorities are even poorer. That's a huge part of Republican politics, that's why they vote for Trump. Trump doesn't promise them they will have better lives. It's all racist dog whistles promising them they will still be on top, they will be the 'better' race. That's why they oppose all sensible policies, because they will try to fix inequality and inequality is what they want.
And I don't think there's a simple fix for this. Many countries have this issue (UK, France) and the more progressive policies you try to push there the stronger the push back is. In the end it usually goes farther right until something terrible happens...
That's not northern Spain. Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, Pais Basco - that's northern Spain. Catalonia is in the east and it sucks. Northern Spain is very nice and clean.
