I'm surprised about a season 2 as well, it doesn't seem like many people have watched it. It's such a lovely depiction of two men falling in love though I'm hoping it'll pick up more interest with a season 2.

I have been there! I did some of the most amazing diving on the islands, had a great time there overall.

Can I ask you about the gay kiss thing? To me it seemed like a really bad idea for him to do, pda isn't okay generally there and it's well known how the government feel about gay men especially. He's not even gay which makes me feel a bit differently about it, not sure whether it should though.

Absolutely! It's about time we had an openly lgbt+ main character on Trek! I get the feeling they wanted to do some before (looking at you Bashir and Garak) but the studios weren't keen.

I've not read the books so I've got nothing to compare it to, I'm defintely going to go and read them after I've finished season 2 though.

I've been enjoying it, not quite as much as the first season but it's still fun to watch. The whole Empire thing is good, they've made some interesting character choices for Demerzel which I'm not really into, they don't happen in the book though from what I've read.

It's taken a real turn and there are a bunch of new characters in it, I like most of them and it feels like the plot is moving forward swiftly with their scenes. The spacers show up more and are really, really cool. I hope we learn more about them.

I'm thinking it's generally okay but I've not read the books and I'm fairly easy to please though

This is the same with my last ex. I quit and left, invited him to come with me but he chose drugs. I don't think he's dead but I've had to block him on all channels, every come down he calls begging me to take him back saying he'll change. I'm not sure he ever will because I don't think he wants to change, drugs gives him something to feel awful about and that's what he wants/feels he deserves.
