  • I'm glad politicians have another survey to go with common sense in guiding them as to which initiatives will benefit the least voters and can safely be ignored. Not until the gov forcibly resettles the homeless into Port Hardy and makes it a thriving city of people in need of support will it amass the numbers to sway public (read: politician) support toward infrastructure in the Island's ghost communities.

  • WARNING: it could potentially be crippled so that setting it up requires using a tethered connection to Linksys servers. This is a significant security risk vs umbilical-free setup -- both on day one and for every day after if you have to maintain that umbilical to manage this router that you don't have 100% control over.

In short, this may not be a good deal.

  • This will definitely reduce the rate of late arrivals as it fixes the lost-luggage issues on that route at the same time!

AC has found a winning formula here and I, for one, sometimes think they should do this with all their routes.

  • That's just the style of pulp.

It's like the style of the classic western is a lone cowboy passing through, witnesses a bad thing and tries to exert justice but gets in trouble for it, also meets a girl, suffers a big setback and slowly claws his way up so his justice wins and he's vindicated, and he moves on. Fin.

The cowboys are always broken but heroic, the love interests are always foils to play off or expose the cowboy'svreluctantly heroic nature, and there's like a dozen extras to stand around, maybe punch the cowboy or shoot at him.

Misogynistic? It looks that way against our enlightened culture, sure. Formulaic? Mostly. But they're still entertaining tomsome, right? And not for the misogyny any more than Days of Thunder is about tires.

  • annoying if you actively do not want a tv subscription.

Our guys won't stop trying to bundle VoIP phones with their TV package.

I don't want a phone. My cell phone is set up as a tablet (can't do calls or SMS;just data) and I love it. The only call I ever got on my last handset was some lying ad flunky trying to sell me a fucking tv package.

They stopped asking me why I didn't want the phone bundle after I told them that.

  • -H is for "hell no just uninstall"

Look, if they can't stick to established convention and they're not gnu (and thus magically excusably arrogant as fuck because #stallman), then you just know they'll be somehow dragging in remote libraries or something equally as fuckwitted; so just remove it and live your life.
