  • Weird.

Alberta O&G raises prices, and its politicians who get more money from it ALSO get to slam Hair Guy for being in charge while the completely separate commercial cabal acted of their own free will to fuck us.

  • Accusations of racism when it's just one potential cause of favouritism is fun. Productive? No.

Let's agree that verdict is shit. Whether it's because the defendant's race, religion, birthplace, hairstyle or politics matched those passing judgement, something is fucked up about this.

This asshole should be locked away and his family interviewed regularly as a deterrent to others.

  • Tory playbook since 1984:

    1. cut taxes
    2. those tax cuts were for a consolidated single-payer essential service which you all must pay out of pocket for with no special pricing so it's way more. Eat it, plebes.
    3. send savings to friends.
  • the federal government should be pressuring municipalities to get housing built.

That's not their job. The fed doesn't pressure munis. The Fed doles out money TO PROVINCES as per an agreement.

But we don’t need housing starts, we need housing completions.

True. And density. Because sprawling out these matchstick shitbox firetrap hasty-built bungalows and eating farmland and greenspace wasn't the answer 20 years ago; less now.

  • The frustrating part is we're losing a hapless government and gaining an evil one; for no reason other than the fact that

    1. Things haven't gone perfectly these last few years (hello COVID) and some things lost in priority.
    2. Squinty mcProudboy has no actual platform other than "we'll be way better than hair guy" with no numbers to challenge.

If they gave us facts, we'd be able to laugh at it. But they don't. It's the fucking Red Book all over again.

  • I find the breathless sky-falling tone really pairs well with unsourced facts.

What's Canada supposed to do again? Test more? Choose people from less-needy neighbourhoods? Control the job market directly? Remind me where the Fed missed the mark specifically. Saying "people cheated and got cheated and some died" is barely above an appeal to charity.
