  • Surely you couldn't expect our representatives and congressmen to be motivated to work by anything other the big bucks.

  • Few of my personal favorites: "I'm disappointed in you" "You don't have to be your parents you know" "Is this what you do with your free time?"

  • Of course, it's been their weekend fun for a few centuries now.

  • It's quite literally on the administrations to-do list.

If you're worried about election integrity under the administration, please do volunteer, or work directly for your elections board if you can. We can really use the help, no matter where you are from.

If you have some spare cash, don't be afraid to print out some fact sheets for people to take with them when voting, as long as you don't violate canvassing laws of course.

  • Considering everyone in the room knows the Commander in Chief wouldn't be able to pass the basic reading tests for recruits, I'd say this just doesn't hit home as well as they all hope it does.

  • Lmao sure there are folks with all kinds of expectations of relationships, but that's part of the fun of getting to know someone.

I've personally seen things from many sides, my exes have been first generation Americans, deeply religious one way or another, girly-pop fanatics or outright amazonian greasemonkeys. Way I see it, enjoy the process of meeting someone new, enriching your life and or course you enriching theirs.

Of course being online alot doesn't do you any favors, try dropping into a few mixers, ask friends to set you up with someone, just put yourself out there and see what sticks.

  • Ah, guess whatever cabinet member or intern that's assigned to him finally remembered to mention Canada to him again.

Shame, really hoped he had forgotten for a while, our good friends up north at least deserve a break.

  • Connectivity breed hope. For much the same reason why internet access is considered a part of human rights in the modern world, they know just how big a threat access to new ways of thinking, of possibility can be to their control.

  • And they say taking up D&D as a hobby is weird lmao

  • Man? Lmao this isn't the lucky chance of single person.

This is decades worth of work by thousands upon thousands to bring about political change and opportunities for their varying ideologies, albeit central around profiteering, control, and unitary power.

Not even nearly the end of their work either.

I like a challenge as much as the next guy but damn is it disheartening at times.

  • What did anyone expect anything different?

  • I've been lucky enough to see the real deal in deposition layering testing and research for chip making. From clean-room methods stricter than bio and radiological test lab standards to seeing the wafers with a shimmer even more gorgeous than diamonds to me. It's so far beyond

We just ain't going to manage to make that a nation-wide mainstay. We might be able to have started to approach the technical side of things if investments and education were started in the early 90s, but our culture just isn't up to snuff to keep it going. So much of a society's culture bleeds into business, and damn do they have it locked down where it needs to be.

  • Personally I'm quite big fan of self-hosting, but if you want less a hassle, def try some of the other suggestions.

Since you're interested in anon file sharing, I'd really recommend you take some time to really think out just what your personal definition of anonymous is, and how well it fits in modern digital infrastructure. True anonymous activity is nearly impossible, you can be fingerprinted by even writing a file to a drive to hand to someone. Every action taken online has some trace to it, while IP is generally not precise information, with enough data overlap you can be reasonably guessed depending on how much effort someone is willing to put into it.

So you know, good luck finding a balance lol.

  • I used to run in consulting circles, long enough time around execs and you start to see just how well the good ol boy clubs, and know-a-guy chains can make business deals between firms. Once you get the ball rolling on a project as a large enough entity, it doesn't take much to consult the digital equivalent of their rolodex to find vendor upon vendor for this part, this data broker, etc.

    Cheaper in bulk too.

  • I'll always be a major proponent of voting. I make it a priority to try and work the polls when I can.

But damn, does voting with your wallet work every time. From civil rights to free speech, it just works.

So you know, the next obvious step is to really kick them in the balls and outright replace their businesses on the free market. Bit harder a step but the real ultimate irony would be a resurgence of local communities stepping up utilitization of rebroadcast stations to better inform their populations and improve overall broadcast standards by ensuring proper "free market discourse" as they so often put it.

  • You know, even amidst of all this, a genuine part of me hopes some of these kids being sent to do dress up army man, or pick up trash in city parks while their buddies practice combat drills against American citizens get at least some exposure to a different way of life on their down time.

But maybe I'm too much a damn optimist.
