Went to return my trolley at Lidl and found this. Since there is no way I'm giving up my trusty token, I guess I'm a trolley owner now

Any suggestions on getting it onto the bus?

This is my trolley. There are many like it but this one is mine. My troller is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my trolley is useless. Without my trolley I am useless. I must steer my trolley true. I must steer straighter than my enemy, who is trying to get discounted meat quicker than me. I must get it from him before he gets it from me. I will. Before God I swear this creed: my trolley and myself are defenders of my shopping, we are the masters of my enemy, we are the saviours of my life. So be it, until there is no enemy, but peace. Amen.
- Trollee or not trollee. That is the question we must ask ourselves upon rising daily. Do we let the wobbly wheel of life lead us astray to the central isle of distraction, or do we overcome it and stay true to the shopping list of life? No one can answer this but ourselves, and it is a daily battle.
I'm ashamed to say I don't understand what I'm looking for here.
- The little knobby thing that you stick into the trolley to get your coin or token back is missing from the chain

- When I'm done BBQing I'll try return it and get my token back.
Be careful, these are so called "Gittertiere" and they like to be in flocks.
Go back into the Lidl, buy a good broom, paddle the trolley home.
Am I the only one?
Step 1:go back to the car
Step 2:grab whatever size coin is equivalent to the token (it's a quarter here)
Step 3: insert into broken cart and put good cart back first
Step 4: put broken cart back at the end
That way it's the next rub's issue.
- It's like that riddle with the fox and the rabbit and the cabbage that have a boat that can only hold two of them and ilthey need to get across a river without eating eachother on the boat. Or something.
  Unfortunately I failed at step 1 by coming on a bus. Still need to get the trolley on the bus to go home, to get the coin, back on the bus and move on to step 2. There is no other way.
They don't work for side loaders, but you can get shopping cart keys for your key ring or whatever you use, that you can plug in and then immediately pull out once it is unlocked. Just don't be an ass and bring the cart back of course.
- Corned beef keys work. They are usually available near to trollies too
