RIF will shut down on June 30, 2023, in response to Reddit's API changes

Oh boy, it's another one. This is the big Android app. With Apollo and Reddit is Fun going, this probably displaces a huge amount of core redditors. Maybe this is the time to start going harder into getting people moved over to the Fediverse with Lemmy?

Boost user here, from what I can tell people are just assuming it's going away too.

I was a RiF user. Reddit's native app is unusable. Sad to see them go :(
As a RIF user I'm sad about this. I hope lemmy get more popular because it's missing a lot of the niche communities I follow.
