I am glad that there is that much opposition to the increase in size. The at grade and local / regional options were my favorites from the survey so I am glad I am not alone. I think its interesting that the highway has a small accident rate than other busy local streets. However, I feel like most of the accidents are just spreading to the local streets for people getting on and off. The heatmap really shows it
I live in Seattle and I shed a tear every time I walk to our downtown and have to cross this monstrosity... So much prime real estate gobbled up by a highway that had no place ever being laid there. Hope you guys can do something cool with yours.
That is the hope. Some of these redesigns will convert it into a more normal road. The biggest redesign that would destroy most of the highway wasn't considered which was a bummer
