Very cool, I've not seen anything like it before. I love maple, I find it to be at least as beautiful as the various endangered tropical woods.

Congrats! Will you put some legs underneath it? I've noticed that flat furniture sometimes end up unbalanced since the floor is often uneven
It's got a small square base now that makes it look like it's floating.
