I've known of it, but never once thought of it when trying to remember left vs right.

I never knew this, it's brilliant!
I'm one of the lucky people that intuitively just knows it. I know a ton of people though that have that issue.
I'm convinced people who don't know their left and right haven't actually tried to remember it. Like... surely a few flashcards will sort you out?
